I mean, if a US patriot blew up mecca, wouldn't the US do everything it could to bring him to justice? Shouldn't arab and muslim countries be responible for their own former citzens and patriots? These countries should be forced to bring these people to justice or pay the price(either $$ or with their infrastucture). Shouldn't saudi arabia be responsible for bringing bin laden to justice?

It's a Q of policy and priority for each nation, if it is suitable, they'll act, otherwise no, maybe even support terrorists.

Well, after the recent Bombay and Kashmir bomb blasts there was an SMS doing the rounds of Indian mobiles which went something like this - Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims, which I believed as bull with a cap "B" ,and I blogged on it, and got some good responses too.

Now tell me what makes you think that a person would be a patriot if he went and blew up Mecca? I think he'd be a traitor, cause he'd put the life of every innocent American (maybe white man) in jeopardy if he went and did a stupid thing like that, and the US government would be right in bringing such a person to justice. And yet if some supposed patriot did that would he be any different from the people you have condemned?

Talking of force - can anyone force the US to toe the line on any matter, unless the US decides to do it themselves? So you can't have double standards.

Another simple example - the Sikh terrorists of the late 80's were given safe harbor by your country as freedom fighters, though there was evidence of their terrorist acts -next, US satellite pictures have time and again shown terrorist training camps in Pakistan or Pakistan occupied Kashmir, and many of the terrorists trained there have links with other terrorists organizations such as AL Qeda, yet your country supports Pakistan, so there again is the Q of double standards.

I just hope that there is peace globally.

Thanks for your post on my blog, would the US take it kndly if India or any other nation did an Entebbe on their territory? My dear friend, there can be no double standards, we are all human and must do our bit together to curb terrorism, and also remember a strong country may not be strong forever.

I don't think it's a question of just one race or just the individual. If someone should cause a crime (no matter what the extent), I believe it is the responsibility of that province, that state, that country to find that individual to bring them to justice if the person is located in their area. It's a global effort that needs to happen to stop these actions from any individual, not just one or two countries. We need to all work together on this.

Only the individuals who do the crime are responsible for their actions. Lumping humans together into groups and holding the group accountable is not justice.

If George W, Bush ordered bombs to be dropped on Iraq and if children died as a result, who is accountable for this wrong? All white people? All males? All Republicans? All Americans? All people over the age of 50? Every human on the surface of the planet?

Individuals make choices. Individuals should be accountable for the results of their actions. Divinity, not others humans will be the judge.

answer: This fact is fake as there are cutting-side-day worshipers of the Greek and Roman Gods. additionally Islam states that they follow the God of Abraham, like the Jews do (in spite of the undeniable fact that they say that Mohammed is a later prophet than those recorded contained in the Jewish Scriptures). And Christians truthfully say that they worship a similar God because of the fact the Jews, in spite of the undeniable fact that they do no longer renowned worshiping a similar God as Muslims.

I think starreply's said it all, I agree with him, and I've seen your comment on his blog, well might ain't right, and just because your country's strong today doesn't give it right to strike into terrotories of other countries, and not expect other countries not to follow suit.

Suppose an Indian terrorist who has harmed the interests of the US is hiding in the US, do you really expect the Indians to catch him/her there? will your country allow an Indian law enforcement agency or any other nations law enforcement agency to operate in your country?

And do you really expect any governemnt to pay another govrnemnt for wrongs done by their nationals? It is the job of the law enforcement agencies of the nation that is under attack to catch the terrorist, if the terrorist is within its territory. If there is proof that the terrorist is hiding in some other nation,. then share information and get the terrorist apprehended.

Silly woman, its not about men/women. The question seems to be about governments taking responsibility for their citizens.

And logic says that's what they are supposed to do.

So I say yes, it should first be the nation of origin that is responsible for terrorists.

I think that logic is so simple that it is flawless.

Briton seems to be responsible for the British nationals who were planning on blowing up the airplanes with liquid explosives.
I would hope that the muslim community in Briton helped with this bust, if they didn't and they acted complacently I think they should be held responsible. I believe many Irish Catholics were held responsible for bombings by the IRA, both by community and the press.

Stop dancing around being sensitive, call a spade a spade. It seems muslim and terrorist must go hand and hand until muslims join the fight against terrorists. They may have(joined the fight against extremists) with the current arrests in England, but we will have to wait to see. Israel arrests its own extremists, it doesn't leave it up to anyone else.(they have other issues, but they reign in on their own fundamentalists)

Your logic is seriously flawed. As a woman, should I hold all men accountable for the actions of the men involved in 9/11. There wasn't a woman terrorist aboard those planes, hence, it must be the responsibility of all men. PLEASE....give me a break.

I agree, except that I don't believe we should blame it on Muslims. It isn't fair to confuse their religion with the nut jobs that are a part of it.
