No, the Media should be kept on a good reign the following, and merely record the minimum info. without each of the hype and grotesque info. It feed the minds of those who've a lien to this kind of murderous habit. besides the undeniable fact that, i believe the shortcoming of existence Sentence should be further back, and that is at the same time as the Media should be to blame for reporting the decision, and some "on your face" info, that that's what is going to happen in case you're taking the existence of yet another.you should pay inclusive of your existence. The Judicial device has failed society miserably the following, with the help of handing down sentences of 9 years, and out in 6, for reliable habit.( An get at the same time in straightforward words). so that they are back on the streets, and keep on committing an similar crimes. with the help of bringing back the shortcoming of existence Sentence, and letting the media concentration on the PUNISHMENT, truly than the sordid info. i believe the crime fee could drop extensively. Then shall we examine out Hollywood and the television sequence, that positioned out such bright info, and the popular public thrive on those. i believe lot of the blame lies at their feet.

Would you prefer the reporters be in helicopters circling a crash or bomb site?
Fact of the matter is that everytime a terrorist plot is thwarted and reported on, it give the terrorists more information on how covert operations are being carried out. Thus, authorities need to be vague on details. However, at the same time the authorites need to let the world know that these plots are going on all over the world all the time.
As for those who want to claim, it's just propaganda...well, I hope you're happy in your own little fantasy world.

The extensive news coverage is as always. They cover the story the blood thirsty American public craves night after night. The local news covers drugs murders, deadly car crashes, robberies and other such fear projecting stories. The news media will continue till we as a people stop supporting them , we can do this by tuning out the blood thirsty news media in favor of something better ...oh say like another ridiculous reality show along the lines of American Chopper or Survivor.

When a planned attack is thwarted, it IS big news. Do you think such a thing should be trivialized? We are at war against such things/groups. This is a major threat against our way of life, or well being, and our freedoms.
Details will NEVER be given, for the giving of specific 'hows' will give the terror organizations additional information that we do not need them to have.

Similar plots have been foiled in recent years by Britain' s excellent intelligence services, such as the planned attack on the football stadium in Manchester.
The difference with this latest attack is that it is affecting people's lives, specifically air travelers. Plus it's similarity to 9/11.
As opposed to the thwarted football stadium attack, which did not cause much impact on people's day-to-day lives.

You must be watching cnn or msnbc for all that "spin". Not the best news selection. And right now anyway not many details have been released so they really dont have a lot to say so they just start repeating things in different ways.

Good God people, get a life!
(oops, sorry for the God reference)
Does EVERYTHING have to be an evil conspiracy foisted on dimwitted red-staters by powerful forces manipulating their front man George Bush?
Do you guys even realize how over-the-top paranoid your political bias and hatred makes you sound? If GWB wears red socks tomorrow I'm sure someone here will call him a vile, disgusting red-sock-wearing S.O.B who's secretly on the payroll of the red lobby!
If you'd like to have anyone pay any attention to you, you've got to rejoin planet earth at some point in time.

elections?
what on earth are you talking about. Some extremist British citizens were planning on killing 100s of people. They were thwarted. Explain what that has to do with the elections here.

Sounds to me like they don't yet have all the people involved and so don't have it completely contained. They want to release enough info so that the remaining terrorists know they are on to them, but not so much as to bankrupt the airlines over the next few days.

Maybe the media wants you to be scared so that you will stay tuned in. Maybe governments want you to be scared so they can ply more public control. Maybe the business community wants you scared so that you'll go out and shop - to feel better of course.
Are you scared?
P.S. When the details are allowed to be published, no one will care anymore. It's the impact (today) that those with an agenda care about. These are the waves they ride.
