as a political theory was always controversial, at practice even more, I believe it could be a great system, however human kind has not evolved and wich is more disturbing, still embraces Materialism with open hands. Imperialism by the different Economic Powers have stopped and prevented human beings evolution, therefore few people can grasp the real concept of this doctrine, I also believe we are too greedy and narcisistic, so perhaps some day somewhere sombody will experience true DEMOCRACY.

There is a good reason why I do not. Look at the quality of life in countries like Russia, Poland, and even China that practice a much closer element of Marxism then any others - even Cuba...now compare them to the capitalist societies of Taiwan, the United States, and England. Who enjoys a better quality of life?

Capitalism rules - it rocks - it solves more problems then it creates and does more good then harm.

I think the way Mark's wife died is despicable.

His concepts were the delusions of a common bar fly.

If you want social programs that actually work the Irish are the originators of the Monastic Lifestyle. St Patric took it back to Rome and modeled it for the Catholic Church.

Personally I like the free market approach. I make it you buy it.

I think it's a beautiful concept that is doomed to failure because we live in a global economy of scarcity (our having things means someone else doesn't have them) and there are people out there who think nothing of abusing the trust of others.

Did you ever read "Animal Farm", which was itself a commentary on Soviet Russia? The pigs started out fully behind the idea of communism, and then they ended up looking for ways to profit at the other animals' expense, to where at the end they were no better than the humans against which they had rebelled.

No, it is socialism and communism which is an evil form of governing a nation. People should get what they work for, not have to distribute to those who do less important work or no work at all. The people in charge of communist governments are easily corrupted and will use the power to become wealthy as all others live in poverty.

Capitalism has worked since the "dawn of man". Why change it in an attempt to make everyone equal. We are not all equal. There are people smarter than me and I am smarter than others. Why should I expect those who can achieve more than I to have the same income and in turn why should I have to have the same income as people less capable than me?

Communism is so against human nature that it has to be "enforced" with very violent and cruel methods. Most that lived under those regimes tried to escape them. Instead of more well being for more people we end up with well being for none except for the "enforcers". Under the USSR members of the KGB had access to better living conditions and food. Others had no hope of improvement. Under capitalism most people at least have a chance to better their lives and though not all succeed most do to some extent. Under capitalism there is hope for most people and hope is essential to human psychological well being.

I do like them...In theory they should work flawlessly...but the examples we've seen are horrible. It can exist in a perfect world but humans have the desire to want more and better things...

I do not like it. It lacks incentives for hard work, and productivity as whole goes way down. It is fundamentally flawed.
