I'm no law student, but I was always under the impression that all people are equal under the law and nobody was above the law. If this is so, why are racially aggrevated and homophic offences given harder sentences?

A racially or homophobic agrevated GBH carries a harder sentence than just a normal GBH even though the injuries are the same. This seems unfair to me.

Why does it matter whether the attack was motivated by race or homophobia, or whether it was a white straight person they just didn't like?

Surely having harder sentences for these crimes will lead to a bias justice system and create more divisions in society. Why can't murder just be murder??

Also can a black person be convicted of a racially aggrevated offence against a white person for hating whites? Has it ever happened if it is possible?

They say they have asked the civilians to leave. Perfect. How can the civilians leave if the roads are bombed and there isnt gas due to the bombings of gas stations .. moreover most of them are from a poor area "Qana Village".
They say Hezbollah have hid behind these people and there women, and when Israel attacked they put these families upfront and left them to die. Perfect. So Hezbollah has hid behind all the 670 dead today ? So hezbollah has been hiding between these buldings that are so clustered together to strike bombs ? Nope Hezbollah is so dug into the mountain grounds there un reachable. There guerilla tactics has left Israel no choice but to retaliate in an inhumane manner.
They say Hezbollah is a terror organization ? Perfect. Have you heard of any Hezbollah suicide bomber anywhere ? Have you heard of Hezbollah strikes on any city or country in the world ? Have you heard of Hezbollah being a part of AlQaeda Network ? Hezbollah is a (resistence).

To illustrate my question. To any lefty liberal,... define Christ and tell me the difference of a good person and a bad person. Try to do it without attacking me personally and using critical remarks or blaming G.W. Bush for everything bad that is happening in the world. Also liberals, what is wrong with seeing things black and white as you guys love to state as though it was always improper.

Through Scotland (with Tony Blairs approval) over the last week? Huge military cargo planes full of high explosives and registered military equipment have been refueled in Scotland then flown on to Israel. The BBC has been reporting it for days and even Tony Blair is beginning to question his infatuation w. US power. Has it been unreported in the US? I don't know any Americans who have heard about it yet.

I am all for womens' rights, being a woman. I believe that men are responsible for wars. They create the wars. But would women do it if they were in the position to do so? How much responsibility do women assume for wars? A lot of women are good soldiers, but none are required by law to register for the draft. I just thought this was an interesting topic for discussion, and I have never heard it discussed.

3 Do Hezbollah think that by murdering there own people they will gain the support of the parents or family of the victims who where shields.
4 Do Hezbollah think that by killing innocent Israeli citizens people will sympathize with there stupidity.
5 Do Hezbollah think that by refusing a truce or ceasfire that they will gain support.

7 What would you choose, your next door nieghbours childs life in return for a small piece of land
8 Anyone who hides with a gun or missile behind a defencless child in my eyes is the lowest form of human life and should be hunted for eternity.

After 40 years' march in the desert, on arriving at the promised land, that's what Moses supposedly told the Israelites to do, kill the people who were living there, with some differences according to particular territories whether to kill off everybody or just all the men or all the adults.

In modern times we have come to condemn such systematic wholesale slaughter as genocide, particularly as practiced by Hitler, but also, for example, as the Turks did to the Armenians and the US did to the Indians.

The Bible and Torah in Genesis 49 condemn the cruel ways of the Levis; that such nasty ways are to be regarded as separate and apart from the spirit of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Moses is said to have both mother and father from the tribe of Levi, so the condemnation clearly applies to him.

Can we point out this condemnation of the cruel ways of Levi, so Israeli leadership doesn't rely on Moses's urging genocide as justification for their policies against Arabs?

As we are in the business of supplying WMD's to our friends abroad when it suits us is it justifiable for them to use these WMD's against civilian populations in order to punish terrorists and are we now calling Hezbollah terrorists soldiers in order to justify this?

Really. The Jews have been in the holy land since before Islam was even established as a religion, so the whole argument of them not having a right to 'The Holy Land' is bullshit.

Secondly.
Slaughtering civilians? Israel could wipe out hundreds of thousands if they wanted to.

Terrorists are using the muslim population to hide in and launch rockets that have no military purpose but to hit civilian targets.

This is driving me crazy. Why should we be civilized when the ones that hate Israel and the United States are barbaric, chant on the streets 'Death to America!'

And then back at home, Americans wave Hezbollah flags like ignorant children.

This needs to end through military means, and the hate needs to be stopped, and then there will be peace.
