it seems to me that the american people will only vote for someone that is rich into office. i am sure there are some exception but for the most part, everyone is wealthy. why is that?

do people really beleive that a rich person understands the day to day hardships that a poorer american might have?

or do people vote for the rich oerson in some derived hope that the rich elected person will make them rich also?

or do they beleive that since the person is rich, it must mean that they are smart, even though alot of rich people came from rich families anyways?

It's in his daughter Mary's (the lesbian) new book. She says that he favors it personally but believes that the decision should be left up to individual states to decide.

So good for him.....except I bet he wouldn't think that way if his daughter wasn't gay.

Why was it created (the prison), is it for use only by America?, is there any legal rights given there, why set it up in Cuba when we have horrible relations, and why would Castro allow us to if he could care less or us, what is the significance of Guantanamo vs any other international prison?

well , america invaded iraq to throw saddam out because of the way he ws running the country, granted the gov, used weapons of mass destruction as an excuse, and i am not to good at history but haven't we thrown out other leaders for running the government poorly.

There is NO stem cell research ban. None. There is only a ban on FEDERAL FUNDING of reearch. If you are John Kerry you could sell a couple million shares of Heinz Ketchup stock and fund it for a year. If you're Bill Gates rich, you could fund it forever. There is absolutely no ban on PRIVATE funding of stem cell research.

Personally, I'm not against stem cell research per se, but I do think(1) Any public funding of controversial things should be done with great care (2) If stem cell research was that promising, you'd have pharmaceutical and medical companies tripping over each other trying to fund the best medical minds. This isn't happening, folks, because it is a medical dead end.

Still, why does the media NEVER report that there really is no ban on research only a ban on federal funding of such research. There IS a difference.

Should I start the National Association for the Advancement of White People? The goal of the group would not be to hurt anybody else, just to help all the whities out there. And should we let Asians in? They don't have any race based groups helping them.

they were the kids that were behind Bush at his stem cell vetoe announcement.
They were there to convince people that frozen embryos are actually human lives.

People who live in the continent of Asia are called Asians, if they live in Africa they are Africans, those in Europe are called Europeans, whatever their nationality. But the people who live in the American Continents can't won't don't call themselves Amerians. That is reserved only for US citizens. Try telling a Canadian he's an American and stand well clear.
Should we find a different name either for US citizens, or the American continents? What should we call them?

He doesn't believe in federally funded stem cell research because, and I quote, "American taxpayers shouldn't pay for murder."

Then what the hell did we do in Iraq?

35000+ civilian lives lost.

I guess what he meant was taxpayers should only pay for government approved murder.
