Some Americans feel that the war is wrong. Some feel that Israel is just defending itself, and these divisions seem to fall (generally) on part lines: Republicans think Israel's right, Democrats think Israel is wrong.
Unfortunately, the American people are as a whole too complacent to protest. They're worried about their jobs, their kids - not a war halfway across the globe, and they certainly don't feel that demonstrating is worth their time. It's quite sad, but true. Most Americans are so woefully uninformed that they don't even really known what Hizbollah is.

Personally I disagree with the US helping Israel but Hezbollah started this by firing rockets at Israel and capturing Israeli soldiers. Whatever the politics behind this provocation they did this knowing full well the repercussions. Its like those stupid people throwing rocks at tanks then they get mowed down. The soldiers have now way of knowing if its rocks or grenades and act accordingly. The same is true of firing rockets at Israel. They have no way of knowing what those rockets contain. The Israeli army is well trained and well equipped (Thanks to the US unfortunately) and act accordingly.

Many Americans have voiced their opinions rejecting US policies concerning Israel. This administration ignores them and so does the media. Funny thing the United states is not a Democracy it is a Republic. Through rigged elections and voting machine "errors" a vast majority of Americans haven't a voice in governmental affairs.

I agree that Israel has a right to defend itself. I disagree with the US supporting Israel. If the Jews are indeed Gods chosen people. Then the rest of the world should stay out of it and let "God" handle it. - agnostic
