When a Medical student is in the "intern" phase, he/she has to pay to work long hours to a hospital who turns around and CHARGES patients for the medicare that was given!

Should not these paying customers have the right to demand a FULLY licensed Doctor work on them?
and about the inturns, could not they be giving FREE care to the uninsured and poor? The inter is paying the hospital and that can cover the cost of supplies. I think this should help bring costs down, just manage what we have better.

Also, In my home state, EVERY lawyer must accept a certain amount of pro bono (free) work. Why cannot the doctors also be required a limited amout of walk-in work for free.
I know it soulnds a bit socialist, and I AM NOT THAT!
I can feed a homeless man, and I have, but I cannot treat their wounds or I would do so, at least part of the time.
or charge doctors $20 for a loaf of bread like hospitals charge $10 for ONE asprin! Use that $ to help the poor

I work for a small business. This business is privately owned by a woman that is HORRIBLE with money. She uses the business money for her personal spending, she doesn't claim income tax, she hasn't been a legitimate non-profit business since Dec. 31 of 2003 but yet uses her tax exempt number for things. She also solicits donations for the business.

Okay, my question: Can she legally use business money for her personal spending (paying her house payment, buying items for remodeling her home, buying her groceries, buying items for her hobbies, paying for her trips - not business related - and so on)? She has been confronted about this, and she states that her lawyer told her she could legally use the money for her personal spending and bills. The other problem with this? She also is behind on all of the bills that ARE related to the business, and bounces checks out of the business account for her personal things. IS it all legal??

Assume that your amendment would be automatically approved, but keep in mind that it would have to be interpreted by courts...so choose your language carefully!

Also, please explain WHY you choose what you choose. A response with a good explanation is much more likely to be chosen as the best answer.

If you are not a US citizen, you may give a suggestion for the U.S. Constitution or your own country, but I would prefer suggestions for the U.S. I am an American, after all :)

I visit Normandy a fair amount. I have some photos of headstones from the American cemetery of members of the 101st Airborne Division killed on D-Day. Where should I send them? There may be relatives who have not had a chance to visit.

I'm not necessarily talking a Hillary vs Condi thing... or who is the lesser of evils. I am asking who is the most electable man/woman for the Nations highest office. Do you think it could be Al Sharpton or Newt Gingrich? Mabey Barak Obama or Congressman Mark Kirk? Throw out some new names and provide a reason why... something besides "anyone but ____"

With the deficit growing at an alarming rate wouldn't it make sense for corporations with billions of dollars in profits annually to pay their share?

Whenever there is a political issue, where one side believes that equality should be sacrificed for liberty, and the other side believes that liberty should be limited to promote equality, how do you decide which side to be on?

Or, when should a society say, "This freedom is too much; we must reign it in to preserve the equality of our citizens?"

This has been bumping around in my head for a bit - I'm quite the odd type, and have had an idea, which I sketched out, for a plan to build a system for that would mount in the roof of my car, that would have several nerf style guns on it - by pressing a button in the passenger compartment, I could use compressed air to launch them. Physics of small foam cylinders aside (of course they would not work while driving), and safety aside (I would not be wanting to use them on people I don't know, nor while I or they would be driving), I'm more interested in the legal aspects - I've had several people tell me it is probably against the law to mount projectile launchers on a moter vehicle and keep it road legal.

My question is, where in the world would I go to find out the legality of such a system? I'm assuming it would be state regulated, but which part of the government would be in charge of such things? Is that sort of thing online and easily searchable? State of Georgia, if it matters.

They are certainly not doing anything about it. There is no gas or oil shortage. This whole price fixing is done between a few people who decide what will happen with the price of oil per barrel. Do you believe the Bush and Cheney families are involved in this? The Bush family had major oil holdings before daddy Bush ran for President. Suddenly their names were no longer on the mineral rights and yet there is no record of sale according to anything I can find out on the internet. Cheney never tried to hide his involvment in the world oil distribution. Are we being sold out again by Washington?

All I can see that has come out of this war is more violence in that country than there other was before. Not to mention, the fact that it has caused a large chunk of the world to turn their back on America (while of course keeping an eye on the us, scared of invasion of their country). Can anybody, really, I mean really, tell me something good that has come out of this. And dont tell me the people are free, because they are not.

We are able to file our tax's online, register our children for school online and etc. So why can't we vote online? We would have a larger amount of people going through the process. Lets face it. After work, taking care of the kids and everything else that distract us in our daily lives its really hard to stand in long lines. Especially when you are worried about whats next on the agenda after you've been there for hours. There has to be a better way. So how do we do it. Somebody please ... what is the solution?
