With the deficit growing at an alarming rate wouldn't it make sense for corporations with billions of dollars in profits annually to pay their share?

Do you even have a lying liberal blog site to back this statement up with? Or are you simply making up numbers to try and make a point?

Here's a better question, why do the top 1% pay 34.27% of all taxes. Why does the top 50% pay 96.54%

Why is it that almost 50% of the country pays no taxes at all?

Why if I work, and make money does the government take a chunk of that money, and if I invest what is remaining into a stock (i.e. a corporation) and make money on that deal, I am taxed again on those profits. Then the money I invest helps the company prosper which makes them money (and creates new jobs that will also be taxed) and they get taxed again on that profit, and finally when I get my dividend that is taxed again.

Why do we insist on punishing the prosperous (and the ones that actually create jobs) and reward and promote those that do nothing to help the country.

I would like to answer your question but your facts are wrong. The statistic you state is purposely misleading because the average person does not understand income tax laws. For example, 'S' Corporations pay no corporate income taxes. However, owners of the 'S' Corporation pay taxes on earnings from the corporation in the form of personal income taxes. As someone who does this, I can tell you that I pay a lot of taxes.

The statistic is purposely misleading for political reasons but ends up being believed by those who despise conservatives and are looking for something to attack them with. I prefer when arguing a serious point such as this that at least the facts are correct. Only then can we have a sensible dialog.

Many companies put their money in charities which is tax deductable. Often times the government increases taxes on business's so in an effort to say "FU" to the ppl that want to hurt business they give to chairty. Keep in mind that americas wealthiest 15% pay 80% of taxes and you will get an idea of how much they are being robbed and why they would want to give to charity even though they dont get a dollar for dollar match on what they give to charity as to what they get back in tax exemption. Its like 50-75% for most things in IL but i dont know if its different for high dollar amounts and different in different places and charities.

I'm not aware of that.

All corporations must pay a tax to exist basically.

They pay taxes like any other company.

They pay corporation taxes, and taxes on having employees, taxes on profit.

I have no idea what your point is. You should educate yourself before you spout off about something you have no knowledge of.

Ever heard of payroll taxes? Social security taxes? Building permits, rent, and other operating expenses. Dont just repeat talking points, actually think for yourself. Corporations provide goods and services that we all need.

The question show you don't understand economy.

Corporations sell a product or service.
The income generated comes from ?where?
The consumer.

Simple idea.
If you charge the business more taxes, they will pass it on to the consumer.
So...who REALLY pays corporate taxes?
The consumer.
In effect, a tax increase on business means higher prices for you.

Go ahead. take out your idiocy on the "big, bad businessman".
You deserve it.
