From my understanding is that the Jews from Poland migrated to Israel their and other peoples holy land and the Jewish people claimed it for their own and push the people who lived there out such as the Lebonise people, and the way I see it it is like the canadians just moved in the northern half of the united states claimed it for themselves and we had no rights to stop them from just taking our freedom of where we want to live away from us.

Looking up this topic and reading other peoples' opinions I hear arguments like: If we were a fascist country discussions like this would not even be taking place. If we were a fascist country, we'd only have one party and the center of doctrine would be a belief in a single deity. If we were a fascist country, we'd not allow liberalism, communism etc..

It's very interesting that all those facts have been eroded and are currently and very strongly being challenged and oposed by not only the ruling party but also a large percentage of the population.

Another alarming fact is the amount of laws being passed "for the protection of the general population". It's a clear fact that there are more laws being passed than those that get abolished. We know for a fact that the government intimidates the general population by threathening prosecution for violation or even suspicion of violation of these new laws.

Don't beleive the propaganda we are subjected to.

This is how the current conflict came about:-

"basically the current stage of what's going on -- there's a lot more -- begins with the Hamas election, back the end of January. Israel and the United States at once announced that they were going to punish the people of Palestine for voting the wrong way in a free election. And the punishment has been severe.

At the same time, it's partly in Gaza, and sort of hidden in a way, but even more extreme in the West Bank, where Olmert announced his annexation program, what’s euphemistically called “convergence” and described here often as a “withdrawal,” but in fact it’s a formalization of the program of annexing the valuable lands, most of the resources, including water, of the West Bank and cantonizing the rest and imprisoning it, since he also announced that Israel would take over the Jordan Valley. Well, that proceeds without extreme violence or nothing much said about it.

Gaza, itself, the latest phase, began on June 24. It was when Israel abducted two Gaza civilians, a doctor and his brother. We don't know their names. You don’t know the names of victims. They were taken to Israel, presumably, and nobody knows their fate. The next day, something happened, which we do know about, a lot. Militants in Gaza, probably Islamic Jihad, abducted an Israeli soldier across the border. That’s Corporal Gilad Shalit. And that's well known; first abduction is not. Then followed the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which I don’t have to repeat. It’s reported on adequately.

The next stage was Hezbollah's abduction of two Israeli soldiers, they say on the border. Their official reason for this is that they are aiming for prisoner release. There are a few, nobody knows how many. Officially, there are three Lebanese prisoners in Israel. There's allegedly a couple hundred people missing. Who knows where they are?

But the real reason, I think it's generally agreed by analysts, is that -- I’ll read from the Financial Times, which happens to be right in front of me. “The timing and scale of its attack suggest it was partly intended to reduce the pressure on Palestinians by forcing Israel to fight on two fronts simultaneously.” David Hearst, who knows this area well, describes it, I think this morning, as a display of solidarity with suffering people, the clinching impulse."

My daughter just had her first "alone" visitation with her biological father, after a temporary court order allowed visitation. Visitations have always been in my presence because the child does not know the bioligcal father and she is so young in age.

After the alone visitation, it was clear that the biological father was filling my daughter with things like saying that mommy is bad. I know this because my daughter is just old enough to communicate, but not old enough to FULLY communicate. The day after the visitation she kept randomly screaming "No Mommy's Not Bad!" so you can tell where I think she may have heard this.

There is one more visitation scheduled before the final hearing...what are my chances of getting an emergency hearing scheduled to stop the next visitation as I feel that the visitation could potentially harm my daughter (mentally not so much physically)?

To walk or to ride bicycles to and from everywhere they need to go? or deny them the use of electricity? they make such a fuss about drilling for oil. but at the same time they don't mind using it or it's biprodoucts to make their lives easy.I bet they could'nt make it one day with out the energy of oil products. I think they are a bunch of Hypocrites, and anti Americans.

We have many companies that moved to Mexico for lower wages. If we took Mexico into our country, and raised cost to companies that left the US. That would be plenty of money across the board. It would take care of all problems. We would just have to work out how the governing bodies will be set up.

And whats with all these Islamic sounding posters? I mean yeah we have the freedom to speak out... but so far none of these Islamic/Jew haters have said anything of real intelligence (only hate and blah). I mean if your gonna say something you can at least give a better defence of yourself rather than coming out with idiotic answers like "God destroy Israel Amen" and mindless questions like "Should Hitler have won the war?"

This is a true story!
As everyone knows, Colombia has a terrible problem with narco-terrorism. Well, a group of soldiers were patrolling, and stumbled across a huge amount of money hidden in the jungle.
One soldier left the group to answer the call of nature, and found himself squatting on a fortune! About $US 46,000,000. They split the money among themselves, and spent most of it in record time! Wine, women and song! As would happen, the Colombian authorities discovered this and now these soldiers are facing trial.
You are the judge in the trial, what would you do? You have to take into account the terrible pressure and conditions that these soldiers were under: constant enemy fire, landmines, torrential rain, snakes and creepy crawlies everywhere. As something 0f this magnitude hasn't happened before, Colombian law isn't very clear what the soldiers should have done under these circumstances.
Your decision's final, and cannot be overturned.
Now judge, sentence them
