I think that it is a waste of time and money when we have not even begun to explore the ocean and all that it contains. Why are we so in a hurry to leave our planet and look for whatever outside our world when we have so much to explore here? Scientists have never even tried to get to the bottom of the ocean; there are so many hidden mysteries there. I think that we need to spend our time and money discovering the diamonds in the rough on earth instead of looking for them somewhere else.

With everything going on now in this world, it's tough to have this money go to space exploration. but let me say that I'm completely FOR exploration. I love to see shuttles going up because that is the next step for Earth people in our development. We need to continue exploring and learning, space is endless; why should we be short-sighted and only look on this small planet.

Not at all. We breed like a virus, and will be outgrowing our planet soon. Additionally, we're a claustrophobic race, and tend to turn on eachother when cooped up...like being trapped here on Earth. We need space (no pun) to spread out.

Personally I think it is.
Though it has it's benefits and teaches us more about space, I would much rather see all that money go to help the people that are on EARTH. Too many starving , sick, homeless people.
