T
Most people, including lawmakers from both parties, know the immigration system is broken and that we need real reform. But some right-wingers, including Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) and former House Speaker Rep. Newt Gingrich, keep holding on to the fantasy that we if we just conduct a massive police action to arrest, try and deport every undocumented worker in every factory and every farm in America, we can solve our immigration problem in a snap.

Well, the Center for American Progress today released the first-ever cost assessment of a mass deportation policy for the 10 million undocumented persons currently in the country and the 500,000 that successfully cross the border each year. And guess what? It would essentially drain the Treasury. The data analysis estimates the cost to be at least $206 billion over 5 years ($41.2 billion annually), and could be as high as $230 billion. We arrived at this number even after assuming that 2 million of the 10 million would leave on their own

The US leads the world in sanctions against North Korea seeking to arm itself with nuclear weapons to attack South Korea, Japan, US, etc... does anyone really object to this? The US leads the world against extremist states promoting terrorism in the Middle East and defying the rest of the world. The US defeated the Taliban regime in Afghanistan which imposed Sharia law on its people, an abomination to human life and values, that used soccer stadiums to execute its own people and destroyed archaelogical and historical sites. The US is attempting to promote democracy and freedom of the press in Russia as well as human rights in China...
Without the US, I believe the world would just spiral out of control without a balance for the absolute lack of action of other countries who seem to not care about the future security and freedom in the world...
Maybe US should have stayed out of WWII as well. Hitler would have liked that! Iran and N. Korea would like that too.
Would you?

I think it's a grossly unfair overlook of teenage opinion. If you agree with it, feel free to state your case - but if not, go to www.freedom-in-food.tk to join the rebellion! And if you are opposed and also have a protest organisation, let me know!

Michael Moore is a bit over the top in promoting himself at times, but Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 and Stupid White Men all had some interesting stuff.

Has his stuff changed anyones opinions in US or do people just write off comment/ideas by insulting/assaulting the person who makes them.

In particular, have they made right wing folk more moderate or changed views about guns or anything like that?

always start saying "yes sir", "no sir" when they don't normally use that in real life? In real life they'd be saying "yeah", "uh huh", "sure", "whatever".
I see this on those reality cop shows all the time. Do they think they won't get a ticket or be arrested if they keep saying "sir"? It's ridiculous.

this realizing that these terrorists are also fighting injustice. that they are fighting against powers that commit more terror than them(israel, usa) which goes unpunished due to the lopsided state of justice in this world. that they are considered freedom fighters by other people. i believe they are wrong. killing innocent blood is never justiffied. i want some opinions on this issue.

they dont spend any money to make their products available to you in the first place...

With the missle attack on Haifa, and the public endorsement of the killings there by Iran, isn't it obvious this has been all planned out ahead of time by Iran & Syria?Does this validate Israel to attack inside the borders of Iran & Syria?
