LOL. Here we go again.
Shall I quote from Popular Mechanics?
'FROM THE MOMENT the first airplane crashed into the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001, the world has asked one simple and compelling question: How could it happen?
Three and a half years later, not everyone is convinced we know the truth. Go to Google.com, type in the search phrase "World Trade Center conspiracy" and you'll get links to an estimated 628,000 Web sites. More than 3000 books on 9/11 have been published; many of them reject the official consensus that hijackers associated with Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda flew passenger planes into U.S. landmarks.
Healthy skepticism, it seems, has curdled into paranoia. Wild conspiracy tales are peddled daily on the Internet, talk radio and in other media. Blurry photos, quotes taken out of context and sketchy eyewitness accounts have inspired a slew of elaborate theories: The Pentagon was struck by a missile; the World Trade Center was razed by demolition-style bombs; Flight 93 was shot down by a mysterious white jet. As outlandish as these claims may sound, they are increasingly accepted abroad and among extremists here in the United States.
To investigate 16 of the most prevalent claims made by conspiracy theorists, POPULAR MECHANICS assembled a team of nine researchers and reporters who, together with PM editors, consulted more than 70 professionals in fields that form the core content of this magazine, including aviation, engineering and the military.
In the end, we were able to debunk each of these assertions with hard evidence and a healthy dose of common sense. We learned that a few theories are based on something as innocent as a reporting error on that chaotic day"

The government has nothing to gain if people are no longer in fear of the bogeyman. They need the bogeyman to keep the sheeple in control. Don't you see that from the answers to your question?
Sir J, the article you are quoting from Popular Mechanics was written by Benjamin Chertoff who is a cousin of Michael Chertoff who is the head of the Department of Homeland Security. Also Popular Mechanics is owned by Hearst Corporation and the CEO of Hearst is Victor Ganzi who incidentally is a family friend of the Bush family. You expect an unbiased impartial article? It's like you and your brother commit a crime, you get arrested and your brother is called to testify. What do you think your brother will say?
So there is NO reason to trust anything that Popular Mechanics says. Besides popular mechanics is for simpletons. If you want some REAL physics how about read this article:
http://www.physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html
This is the work of a real physicist, not some upstart journalist at a pseudo-science magazine.
Leogirl, if you don't want your tax dollars spent on finding the truth, many of us don't want OUR tax dollars wasted on the war. How about you return us our money first? If you can't then shut your pie hole and stop yapping.

I'm a liberal, I bet you consider yourself one too. Regardless, I wish you wouldn't, it's crap like this that makes us look stupid and mertiless. The government is not behind 9/11, never have been, never will be. Just because there is a video that says it is doesn't make it true. If I showed you a gay porn movie and told you every man was gay would you believe it? That's equivalent to what you are doing, you are showed some ridiculous video, and told something, and you like many others believe that it is the truth beyond doubt. It saddens me that we have people like this in the US, when the whole world is against us we don't need to be too. You know, this is the best country to be a resident of in the world. I don't always agree with the politics, foreign affairs, and ways my tax dollars are spent, but I wouldn't have had such a life in another country to have dollars to care about. Osama did it, he admitted it, he even laughs about it. And if he had a chance to kill you he would, be proud that we don't have to hear about malls, busses, and churches being bombed in our country weekly like many other countries do.

Did you mean "The Truth" as in the Clinton administration effectively blocking Able Danger from reporting their findings to the FBI that would have taken that particular operation off the table by having the operatives arrested 5 years before 9/11?

I'm fascinated. You know the truth & the rest of "us" don't. As a victim of the World Trade Center attacks, I'm in amazement that you would be privy to "the truth".
