Bush's powers are severely limited with respect to deploying troops on US soil. He is skating on thin ice even deploying the National Guard. The Constitution specifically precludes a US president from becoming a dictator. The NG can only be deployed under strict guidelines.

How many of you actually know how our govt works? Why doesn't the news report this?

I am not one of those people who sue's people all the time first of all.

A guy ran into the back of me in june 2003. He did serious damage to my car and I have a permanent disc herniation and nerve damage. I have incurred about $20,000 or more in doctor bills and this wreck has MAJORLY changed my life around. (This is the brief scheme of things.)

What I want to know is how much I could probably get out of this wreck settlement. Just a round about number. Will I get more that just covering my doctor bills?

A friend of mine was accused of fathering a child back in college. After he had been paying this chic for a while he heard "rumors" that the child was not his, took a blood test and found out he was not the father. This is in the state of Texas...notorious for having crazy child support laws....He has spent a lot of money trying to fix this but apparently he signed some waiver (before the blood test) and he can't get out of it....Any advice?

A guy stopped at a local gas station and, after filling his tank, paid the bill and bought a soft drink. He stood by his car to drink his cola and watched a couple of men working along the roadside.

One man would dig a hole two or three feet deep and then move on. The other man came along behind him and filled the hole. While one was digging a hole, the other was 25 feet behind filling in the hole. The men worked right past the guy with the soft drink and went down the road.

“I can’t stand this,” said the man, tossing his can into the trash container and heading down the road toward the men. “Hold it, hold it!” he said to the men. “Can you tell me what’s going on here with all this digging and refilling?”

“Well, we work for the government and we are just doing our job,” one of the men said.

“But one of you is digging a hole and the other is covering it up. You’re not accomplishing anything. Aren’t you wasting taxpayer’s money?”

“You don’t understand, mister,” one of the men said, leaning on his shovel and wiping his brow. “Normally there are three of us: me, John and Jack. I dig the hole, John sticks in a tree, and Jack here puts the dirt back. John’s job has been cut…so now it’s just me and Jack.”

Okay folks, I don't get why the heck you have a problem with g. Bush. He is one of the best presedents ever. I don't belive how much trash you are able to throw in his face. UNBILEVABLE. You are acting so immature. I can't even belive you adults at some times. You are horible. You put a bad immage to yourself. He is there to support us and your over there throwing $hit in his face. 4 years ago, when I was 10, we experianced an f4 tornadoe, wich distroyed our once lovely town. Do you no who was there? Thats right! GORGE BUSH! He shook my fathers hand and was there supporting the victums. He is a very generous guy. I love him. He loves us. We are the ones who voted for him, so give him a frikin brake! I love him, and he is doing what is right for our country. SO if you think he is a bad president, you try being presedint and see how hard it is and how much stress people like you give him. GIVE THE POOR GUY A BREAK!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having an argument with someone on a message board, he claims that the police stopped him at an airport when he was carrying a handgun, and asked to see his hunting license. He claims this was illegal, as he is permitted to carry a gun in the state were he was without a permit. At first I found out that he was from Maryland, where it is illegal to carry a handgun without a permit, but he claims he was in a differnt state, when it happened. He won't tell me the state unless I make a bet with him.

I believe he is a troll, but would love to prove him wrong.

I actually don't consider this a joke, but read..
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered
altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him,
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet
him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air =
balloon approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet =
above sea level. You are 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and =
100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude."
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is
technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your
information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much
help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

Currently, President Bush wants to go back to the Moon to use it as a springboard for further space exploration...rather than using the International Space Station. It's the INTERNATIONAL Space Station. It's a station for all nations to use.

thats what our founding fathers wanted. but for some reason, christian politicians in america are trying to re-unite the two. isnt this a violation of the constitution? arent we allowed to practice out own beliefs? if anything we should be pressing to seperate church and state even more! (like taking the "in god we trust" off our currency and removing "one nation under god" from the pledge of alegiance.

My son's father decided to re-enlist in 2004. He is in the Army Reserves and was a PVT/E2 as of 2004 Nov. He was deployed to Iraq shortly after he re-enlisted and was gone until 2005 Dec. He had been jumping jobs before his tour started and was behind in support. The whole time he was over there, I received less support than what the court ordered. He's back, pulling the same crap with not working, not seeing his son. Now I'm told that he may not have had to file a tax return, since he was gone almost the whole year. How is that possible? Don't think that I am money hungry---He's almost $4,000 behind. I make excellent money and anything I receive in support goes into a saving account for my sons future education. His "father" has had no contact in over 2 years, which is his choice---I gave up trying. I wasn't able to order a review when he was active, since he was out of the country, and if I do it now, what he made won't even matter. How is this possible?????

I was traveling between Phoenix and Chicago the other day and south of Kansas City when a tire blew out. Checking my spare, I found that it too was flat. My only option was to flag down a passing motorist and get a ride to the next town.

The first vehicle to stop was an old man in a van. He yelled out the window, "Need a lift?"

"Yes, I sure do," I replied.

"You a Democrat or Republican?" asked the old man.

"Republican," I replied.

"Well, you can just go to Hell," yelled the old man as he sped off.

Another guy stopped, rolled down the window, and asked me the same question.

Again, I gave the same answer, "Republican." The driver gave me the finger and drove off.

I thought it over and decided that maybe I should change my strategy, since this area seemed to be overly political and there appeared to be few Republicans.

The next car to stop was a red convertible driven by a beautiful blonde. She smiled seductively and asked if I was a Democrat or Republican.

"Democrat!" I shouted.

"Hop in!" replied the blonde.

Driving down the road, I couldn't help but stare at this gorgeous woman in the seat next to me, the wind blowing through her hair, perfect breasts, and a short skirt that continued to ride higher and higher up her thighs.

Finally, I yelled, "Please stop the car." She immediately slammed on the brakes and as soon as the car stopped, I jumped out. "What's the matter?" she asked.

"I can't take it anymore," I replied. "I've only been a Democrat for five minutes and, already, I want to screw somebody.
