Andrew Johnson! He couldn't read at all into adulthood and then very poorly after. But is this a measure of intelligence? The whole idea is flawed. Harry Truman didn't go to college, but many scholars regard him as a great president. Ronald Reagan sure was no intellectual. He's Mr. "Ketchup is a vegetable." Bush went to Andover, Yale, got an M.B.A. -- something many presidents didn't.
Many presidents had very poor judgement. Woodrow Wilson is often considered the smartest (only Ph.D., Princeton Prez) but he re-segregated the federal goverment. Richard Nixon was brilliant, and we know what he did.
However, many presidents by modern standards had not-so-fancy educations. Bush is one of the most educated, believe it or not. Very hard to tell with pre-mass media presidents. Some may have been quite "un-intelligent."
Now what about the award for the worst president overall? Bush may very well take this title.
Regarding Clinton: No one can deny Clinton is an intellectual. Rhodes Scholar, accomplished lawyer, crossword extroardinaire. You may disagree with him, but he is a deep thinker and very intellectually curious. It is hard to say this of W.

With any luck, he'll barely be remembered at all. According to the ratings of pollsters averaged with historians, Warren G Harding is the worst president so far, while George W. sits unnoticeably in the middle of the pack. Granted, he's still got another year and a half to do something really stupid, but if he can lay low and keep his head down, he should be able to escape war criminal charges. Pres. Harding died questionably a little over two years into his first term, with just a little more scandal in his administration than President G.W.Bush has accomplished in 6.

You insult you criticize you complain but you say nothing. "Bush is evil, Bush is dumb, Bush is ugly, Bush is a chimp, blah blah blah. Does your mommy know you are playing on the computer? No President Bush is not the smartest President ever (he admitted that him self) But is far from the stupidest that honor Goes to Bill Clinton who thought that the American people would swallow the " I tried Pot but didn't inhale" story. Maybe he ( and you for that matter) should try inhaling once in a while.

No, I wouldn't say "least intelligent" by any means. Some people say during his 2nd term, Reagan was rarely "at" meetings....sure, his body was there, but his brain was already packing it's bags to leave the building. If "looking like the President" and reading scripts on cue were Presidential attributes, Reagan would be up at the top of the list. If being absent while the rest of your administration ran a secret business out of the White House basement to sell arms to the middle east (including to some guy named Saddam) in order to fund their war on nuns and families in Central America makes one the "least intelligent", then Reagan would have to be it.

He's definitely not the smartest, but he's also been very insulated by Cheney and oftentimes not informed of important issues - again due to Cheney. I have read that Cheney actually diverted emails and messages to himself and bypassed the Pres. And unfortunately Bush seems to lack initiative and looks to others for answers and guidance (even though he claims to be "the decider"). Cheney pushed the war on Iraq and promoted using old and unreliable "intelligence" to further the cause. Bush doesn't have the stamina (intelligence?) or moral compass to stand up to others. He doesn't even know how to use the Veto.

No. But I have a question for you. What will you be remembered for? Nothing!!!!! You wont be remembered because you've done nothing to be remembered for.
Bush has done something, and he will be remembered. Many Presidents have done nothing, and have been long forgotten. Clinton will be remembered as one of the few American Presidents that was impeached. He will be remembered for lying under oath, being dis-barred by a federal judge, and the blue stained dress and cigar.
Nobody will remember your smart assed Bush bashing comments in 100 years, but they will remember a GREAT LEADER.

Genius for what? - getting 3000+ americans killed, teaching our youth that infidelity and oral sex is perfectly acceptable? Yes a real genius in your warped reality.
Bush will be remebered for being a strong, intelligent President that started the spread of Democracy in region that has been war torn since the begining of time. There will be more intelligent conservative Presidents elected in the near future.

Well the answer is no; and its pretty definitive when you consider there will be more presidents and its very possible one will come along less intelligent then him. Jimm Carter comes to mind as one really stupid one; and I mean him no disrespect but the stories of his micromanagement are sincere and real - they showed him out to be totally incompetent as a president (still a great guy but just not a great president).
GW's haters love the "dumb" equation but they ignore he learned to fly some pretty sophisticated air craft and graduated from one of the best universities in the land (with a GPA higher then Kerry).

The president is not there just for intelligence . He has not been placed highest above God. The Nation as a whole is quite capable , we do not place the full burdon upon one man's shoulder, If he made a blunder, He will not hide from that as many others would. There is only One Perfect above all and He still reigns. His name is well known, Jesus.

lets evaluate him to Jimmy Carter, the nobel prize winner. even as Jimmy left place of work, unemployment over 10%, inflation over 10%, charges of interest over 15%. Iran were governed by employing a pro-western guy who did not make women placed on burkas, yet after Jimmy bailed on him the Iatolla took over, took american hostages, who weren't released till Jimmy left place of work, and he also gave away the panama canal. lower than Bush, taxes are low, there is almost no unemployment, inflation and charges of interest are low, and we haven't been attacked on the grounds that 2001. Bush is an mind-blowing president, extremely once you evaluate him to different recent presidents. Bush would not set the cost of oil, if it became as a lot as Bush we must be drilling for oil contained in the gulf of mexico and in Anwar, regardless of the indisputable fact that the liberals received't allow him. What are you able to assert undesirable about Bush? we've kicked al qaeda's butt in Iran, they're attempting to regroup in different places, yet they're too busy operating for his or her lives to have time to devise any extra attacks. have you ever talked about we haven't been attacked in over 6 years??? Bush will be remembered as an mind-blowing president.
