I am planning to head down to Florida later on this month. Now I have the birth certificate for my eldest child, but the youngest's is still being processed and won't be ready before we leave. I do have his Adoption Order which has his legal name change.

Will I have trouble crossing the border with this? Or is this sufficient documentation?

The issue of outsourcing has come up frequently. I am just curious if there is any statistical data on the number of jobs have been lost due to outsourcing. 1992 was the year that the NAFTA agreement was signed. It was also shortly after that the textile mills of North Carolina started having difficulties staying competative with fabrication costs...and then many people were layed off. This was the beginning of outsourcing. So imagine, if you will, how many people in the US have lost jobs because of this?

Do you think there was a fundamental "values swap" between the Democratic and Republican parties in the past? Considering that it was the Republicans who freed the slaves and struggled to give blacks civil rights in the reconstruction-era South, while the Democrats started the Confederacy, and instituted and upheld Jim Crow legislation and Segregation for nearly a century, how did people come to associate the Republicans with the needs of the wealthy, whites, and big business, and the Democrats with the needs of the downtrodden and disenfranchised?

might be a catalyst or the fuel that terroist need to carry out their acts of terrorism? If terrorist were to see Americans, not supporting their President, would that attitude give them the impression that, "Heck, the Americans don't give a crap about their leader, they probably don't give a crap about America as well." Your political party prefrence is you own business and not mine or anyones elses for that matter. This question is something to think about. It doesn't look like he's leaving anytime soon, so whether you like GB, or not, in times such as these, we're either united or we're divided. Your thoughts please. Thanks. Nuclear weapons have contributed to stability between the West and the former Soviet Union, and between India and Pakistan. Might they not serve a similar function between Iran and Israel?

Would an Iranian bomb really be such a disaster? History has surely proved that a balance of power creates peace, whereas imbalance causes war, as the more powerful side will inevitably seek to impose its will by force. Is not this the meaning of the current threats against Iran by the United States and Israel?

dont you think that we should support our troops for what they are donig, providing freedom to our nation, rather than people spouting their mouths about what THEY think about the war? it only makes sense for our nation to be United and support our troops whole heartedly no matter which political party you affiliate yourself with.

I'm working on my senior honors project for my university over the summer to get a headstart. I've been copying down the information in the front for my bibliography and noticed that on some of the books it says something to the effect of "written permission is required to redistribute or reproduce part of all of this work from the publisher." Does this mean that I have to write to the publisher to get permission to quote from the book in my paper even with citations?

I noticed a lot of anger towards each other and I find this to be quite curious. I know how current US policy has affected the perception of America abroad, but surely people must know that not all citizens agree with our policies, in fact Bush has a mid 30% approval rating. Almost 1/2 voted against him (and thats not even counting the underage citizens who werent able to vote at the time). Yes the British are very brave and very disciplined, and the Battle of Britain is one testment, of many, to that. But also without the US entering both world wars the allied powers would have been done with. It also seems that there are many more similiarities between the two nations than not. The first thing that is brought to mind about that is that both nations were/are global empires, both with positive and negative results. Just wondering what you all thought of this.
