based on issues or facts? I am neither republican or democrat. I lean a bit right. I agree more with republicans on economics and foriegn policy. I agree more with democrats on social issues like abortion and religion in government. But I like to think I see through the highly partisan motives of BOTH parties, and have a good understanding of most of what goes on in government (like influence peddling and the agenda of furthering one's political party). I think Bush is a good man, a moderate conservative and is doing what he thinks is right and in our people's best interest. His mistake in Iraq, I think, was underestimating the American people and oversimplifying the rasons to invade. I think Clinton was a brilliant man, a moderate Democrat and will go down as one of the best Democrat presidents of the modern era. He was not soft on defense or devisive. He was not the usual "tax and spend" democrat. What are your thoughts?

American thinks its has a right to tell other countries how they should treat their people and to attack them if they do not obey. That to me is illegal. The US justify the attack by saying they are protecting 'their' interests.

Is it not a double standard to then call those people illegal when they come here seeking 'safer, stronger, righteous' country where their resources end up anyway?

The US should not have it both ways. I say everyone should be allowed into this country.

Baloney that is what it is! Bull

Look it up in Dictionary.

I was born here. I am the Daughter of the American Revolution (big group look on web) We know our history. And yes I am Indian too. And some Indians on here-know little of their history-not all hated the settlers-many joined to create a new nation with laws.

Are others sick of this ignorant Baloney Bull?

Will the clueless and those in la la land-make your comments brief-we know who you are.

I had a checking account at a bank and my friends kids were listed as Payble On Death. The account overdrew some $800 and they charged it off. It was due to fraud and I'm still fighting it. My friends took their kids there to open an account and they were listed as co-owners of the account. I signed them up as POD not as joint owners. The bank siezed their sons money and was going to do the same to the daughter but they caught it in time. They were told they had to file a police report against me for Identity Theft. I didn't steal anything. They were listed as payable on death not joint owners. Can they legally do this? Change the childrens status on the account and seize thier money. We are going there tomorrow to try and straighten things out. Should I bring a lawyer? Help I'm really stressed about this!

Republicans control both houses of Congress and the executive branch of government, and some say conservatives control the Supreme Court. Even though the President's poll numbers are low, Congress' numbers are much lower, (for both dems and republicans)((not good news for the dems)). There is wishful thinking about a Democrat victory in the next election, but no solid evidence to substantiate it. What led to the decline of faith in the Democrat Party? If you disagree with my question, please state in detail why. No bloaviating please.

I have heard conservatives accuse liberals/Democrats (though the one doesn't necessarily go with the other) with not having an agenda. As a liberal Democrat, I know the basic ideals and agenda of my own party and political philosophy. What exactly is the conservative and/or Republican political agenda and philosophy.

Note: This is a question aimed at conservatives and Republicans. No bashing from the left. I genuinely want to know.

I'm interested in starting a discussion as to how things would have been different if, say, Al Gore or another Democrat had won the 2000 election. Would the follow-up to 9/11 been the same? I'd prefer intelligent answers please, no 'they would screw it up' or 'Bush screwed it up' etc.

on the news all I have seen are small fences and little border patrol. The reason that we sent in the national guard is because the border patrol were not doing their jobs. and even the national guard are only there to set up fences and survalence. when will we come to realize we need a large wall across the entire border, and more survalence and security. It needs to happen soon.
