Baloney that is what it is! Bull

Look it up in Dictionary.

I was born here. I am the Daughter of the American Revolution (big group look on web) We know our history. And yes I am Indian too. And some Indians on here-know little of their history-not all hated the settlers-many joined to create a new nation with laws.

Are others sick of this ignorant Baloney Bull?

Will the clueless and those in la la land-make your comments brief-we know who you are.

I don't know about you, but I was born here.

That means NO, I'm not an immigrant.

Certainly we are descendants of immigrants (as is everyone in the world), but that is not the same thing as being an immigrant.

Anyway, such a statement is no justification for continued mass immigration. The inference that "We are a nation of immigrants and, therefore, we must not limit immigration" is a classic example of circular argument. What it says is this: Because we are a nation of immigrants, we have to allow for massive immigration which, in turn, makes us a nation of immigrants, Hence it's circularity. Circular arguments are invalid in the logical sense by virtue of how they are structured and not what they mean. They lead to faulty (and, therefore, useless) reasoning in which the thesis (the very thing which is to be proved) is used as a premise in its proof. And circular arguments certainly do not form a good basis on which to formulate sound public policy.

I hear ya hadenough. We will continue to hear it though, because they cling to that as the reason illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay here. No, people born in the USA are NOT immigrants. Sure, everyone but the native Indians are DESCENDANTS of immigrants, but that does not make you an immigrant - that makes your ancestors immigrants. However, they do not have enough brain cells to figure this out and understand it so you can rebuke them 'til you are blue in the face and they will not hear you. My advice is to ignore and don't even read or respond to the questions posted "We are all immigrants???" or "Everyone better go back to where they came from????" (They always make it a statement but put question marks behind it, thinking that it now qualifies as a question. Ha!) They are all grasping at straws and they will still be chanting these idiotic phrases as they are being tossed back over the border.

the idea is that at some point in history, be it 30 or 300 years ago, your ancestors came to wherever you are now. the message is that we should afford others the same opportunity that you or your ancestors were given back then.
perhaps you didn't emigrate, and you and all your family spontaneously appeared in whatever town it is that you live it. i can't say for sure. but i know that most people emigrated here, or their parents did, or their grandparents or great-great grandparents or whoever.
think about it though. what happened to america being the great land of opportunity, asking for the tired, the poor, the huddled masses? i'm sure you've heard it before. just think about it a little.

I think it'll go away shortly after the mid-term elections. While I think it is important that the US do something to reform immigration, I really believe the issue is getting more press than it deserves, as it diverts attention from issues that may be more damaging to the current opinion many have of Republicans.

i agree, these people are using a broad definition of the term immigrant. meaning anyone who was never native to a place. if that is the case then the entire population of man is an immigrant where he was born.

i always like to stay, i am not an immigrant because i was born in the established country of the USA. you can argue that.

it seems some people want Americans to regress to nomads or something...

ancestors that came to this country and FOUNDED it did it with blood sweat and tears. We started the USA and made laws, like many other countries. We allow whoever wants to come here, come and work and visit etc.. Now if you go to another country, u r suppose to follow their laws if not-tough tooty you go to their jail and face their punishments. So WHY are millions of ppl allowed to enter OUR country (US citizens) ILLEGALLY and not be punished???? Because rich family's have many of these ppl as cheap labor in their homes, businesses and country clubs. And decent Americans ask for decent pay to pick up the rich ppls turds-so we don't take those jobs-illegals do! If we paid US citizens decent wages and stopped sending jobs abroad-then more Americans would do the crappy jobs and all the ILLEGALS would take a hike south???DUH! I don't take rocket science ppl!!

You will continue to listen to this view until you settle down and admit there is nothing wrong with the FACT: Except for the full blooded Native American (who also migrated through the Bering Strait), all Americans are descendants of "immigrants." What's the problem with that??

You will have to listen to it for a long time because they have no logical argument for breaking the law so they need to resort to spinning the truth. Immigrants and undocumented worker are some labels they use to hide the FACT that they are ILLEGAL. Then they resort to racist accusations when people simply want the law enforced. Use your vote to get rid of all incumbents!

No I am not. While I do not agree that we are all immigrants, I respect the opinions of others and their right to express them.

yes! and they take all our jobs and bring down the wages, because they work for so little. It's a joke and the people should be mad a s hell that the new jobs only pay $11.00 an hour because of all the immigrants working for basally nothing.
