your animals are pooping on their property... There are probably millions of people who walk their dogs at any given time, but if you say your neighbor threw poop on your door, they assume it was your animal... If you say someone hates your cats and poisoned or stole them, they assume they are pooping on their property>?

My family used to keep a cat or dog at one point or another, but I didn't find them appealing at all. I was bitten by my dad's dog when I was 3 and have been wary since, and my little sister's kitten was sickly and vomitted frequently and lived a short life, I lost my box turtle when I was 4.. I just haven't had much good experience with them.

I think someone who hasn't given a real chance to like or dislike something or someone is petty, so I was wondering what would be a good way to start learning how to appreciate a pet, or pets, or at least the safest way (for the pet and me) for me to decide that pets just aren't for me.

She can't feed herself well now with the cone in her way. Normally she grabs on to her food and gnaws away at it (like rodents should do) but now that the cone's in her way she can't get her hands up to her mouth.

I've been hand feeding her shredded carrots and bread, but I can't do that for the 10-14 days that she needs to wear the cone.

Anyone got ideas on how I can help her eat?

I bought a big aquarium (for fish) for the base of their cage system and there is a wire cage on top with a ramp to the bottom where the litter is - the rats pee everywhere on all three levels. They came from someone else and they never had "Pee" boxes - so I thought they would know the litter on the whole bottom is where they do their thing!
It gets really stinky! And of course since the bottom level is the warmest - as that is the enclosed aquarium area - that is where they want to sleep too

People, I did not actually give my dog a piece of chocolate cake. It was a question to test knowledge, not to prove that I'm an idiot. I know that a living animal such as a worm can't appear out of thin air but you would be surprised how many people think that worms can come from fresh human food.

My wife and I recently bought a ferret and just bought a multi-level cage with four levels including the bottom with his bedding. He started out using the restroom on one side of his bedding just like usual, but here lately he has mainly been using the different levels. Are there any ways we can fix this problem? We have a litter pan and had it in his old cage, but he did not like it very well and dug in it and rarely used it, so I don't know if this could fix it?

I'm looking for some ideas for our University Animal Rights/Welfare group here in Canada. Aside from the usual resources, I'm trying to find sites that are made by individual groups at colleges/universities globally (Europe, the UK, the US, Australia etc.)

I gave my dog a piece of chocolate cake. A week later, he had worms. Did he get worms from the cake? Can a dog get worms from human food? Explain your answer please.

I had a hamster that was too cute! It did bite every once in a while but it was young. We would feed it every time we need too and my mom would clean its cage all the time. One day I was sitting up in my room and my brother came up to me and said, "Courtney there is something sad about your hampster." and in my mind I knew it was dead. I mean seriously, what else could've been wrong. So I got downstairs and he showed me it. It was laying upside down with its paw pointed up. We had no clue how it died. I just wanna know a list of normal hamster deaths or something like that.
