I had a hamster that was too cute! It did bite every once in a while but it was young. We would feed it every time we need too and my mom would clean its cage all the time. One day I was sitting up in my room and my brother came up to me and said, "Courtney there is something sad about your hampster." and in my mind I knew it was dead. I mean seriously, what else could've been wrong. So I got downstairs and he showed me it. It was laying upside down with its paw pointed up. We had no clue how it died. I just wanna know a list of normal hamster deaths or something like that.

Oh and I had just bought it because it was really young so it couldn't have died of age.

It could have had an unnoticible breathing/lung problem, eaten somethinf=g very wrong or had parasites it's body couldn't fight as well as heart problems. this is what is usually the case w/ rodent deaths, (take it from omeone who'd had the exact same probllem.).

Sorry, Hamsters don't live very long. 2 years would be an incredibly long life. They can catch a cold easy. Injure themselves. Eat something it shouldn't.

It could've died of age. Hamsters don't live that long (3 yrs tops). It could've also died of wet tail.

there were probably some underlying problem that you were not aware of although he seems to be a healthy hamster,he may have had a condition that shorten his life.

You would have to have it autopsied in order to find out what happened. Most of the time it is just assumed to be "natural causes".
