No

That's a naughty word in the hamster world; hamsters don't like water sports. Nature has provided hamsters with a natural oil to maintain the condition of their fur. That's why they spend so much time grooming. Although they can swim, water baths are not recommended. If a wet hamster becomes cold, it can lead to flu and possibly death.

Yes, you can bathe hamsters. They do get smelly and can use a bath once in awhile. Warm Tomato juice will take the smell away. Be sure to dry the hamster and place him/her in their cage in a draft free area to dry. You can also use a hair dryer to speed the process. Keep the hamster in a towel as he/she may try to bite you. Don't put the hair dryer too close to the hamster as it will burn your little critter. Keep it 2-3 feet away. You could also place it above the cage (without litter) until dry.

preferably not...just give them the bathing dust (which they love rolling in)..bathing them runs the risk of them falling ill from a cold and also traumatised from use of hair dryer...there are probably hamster that enjoy the process but few and far between...look at it this way, they dont take baths in the wild either and are usually neat, clean and tidy creatures...

Not if you don't want to drown it. Just rub him down with a wet washcloth.
