I have inherited a 20 month old spotted saddle horse. He is beautiful. He was living with a different family member that did nothing with the horse but provide the small area for it to live. I have been educating myself alot about horses and have broke some of the bad behaviors, and gotten to the point of being able to place the blanket and saddle on his back. When I did this for the first time he just stood their and had no reaction, and has acceped the saddle since without problems. Does this mean that the horse will be able to break easily? Also when Rebel is tied for his daily grooming he will take his foot and paw at the ground. He does this several times during his 30 min grooming. He doesn't appear to be mad, ears are forward. He just had his hoofs trimmed by the ferrour. What does this mean when he does this? Is it that he just wants loose?

have had tink since 8 weeks old, picked her up lots and gave strokes as instructed, let her have plenty of run in the garden. She started biting a few months ago and now no one wants to go near her. She has bitten all the family including two children aged 2 and 5, the only one she doesn't attack is the dog!!
Tink is no longer a pleasure and as you know chews all the wires where she can digs my garden up everywhere, looks like a bomb site. poo's everywhere. God she is worse than the dog!! What shall I do, give her to a new home or put up and shut up!!

Can I just phone up the vet and pick up the antibiotics or will they need me to bring her in to see her first? Shes a pet rat and the antibiotic is baytril, she has been on it 3 times before and I want to save her the stress of taking her in to the vet again, she hates it! (Vets arent open for another 2 hours, thats why I havent phoned them to ask!)

My sister has three dogs, and allows the one to sleep in bed with her daughter. Today my neice was sent home from school because the teacher said she has fleas.

She was at my house all day but didn't lay on couches or anything. I'm so worried that I might get fleas! We have no pets here and I didn't really hug her or get too close to her.

How do you get rid of fleas from humans and how should I de-flea my house so no one here will catch it?

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and we are not sure which one is peeing on our carpet. We are hoping someone can tell us a means to determine if it is a cat pee OR dog pee. Does it smell or look (i.e. stain) different? Are there test kits to determine this?

Second part to the question: Does anyone have any other ideas for how to identify which specific animal is peeing on the carpet? We've had all 4 of these animals for years and have no reason to suspect one of them over another. I've thought of video taping for long periods of time to catch the culprit, but video tapes don't run for more than a few hours and the pee only happens every few days at most, so this would be a difficult method.

Any and all intelligent solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I am going to be applying to vet school in the fall and one of my concerns for picking a school is the board prices for my horse. Right now I am paying $330, and I know in the east it is $1000 or more,
Anyone have a clue about Kansas prices?
