I ride hunters and we like our horses a little "plump" if ya know what I mean. My horse is slender, but not skinny or anything. I feed ultimate finish with my horses feed but it doesn't make him a fat as as I want him to be. We have lots of shade at my house and not grass whatsoever so we feed our horses hay 3 times a day with hay. Do you recomend alfalfa? I heard that works if you feed some of that to them every day. What else though? Beet pulp? Please serious answers only.

I horseback ride but my previous riding instructors weren't certified or anything, so they just taught me and a couple other people and never instructed me about this stuff. I also just started taking lessons from another lady and she says my balance is way off. My first lesson we had to pretty much start from scratch because I was having a hard time telling the horse what to do, applying pressure, reins, etc. I like riding but feel discouraged about this, and of course it's hard to practice if she lives 45 min. away and is hardly available. I don't own or lease my own horse either that I could practice on (i'm only 15). Any comments would be appreciated! Thank you

Iit was my turn to slop out my daughters hamster(one of the tail less variety)I did this in the bathroom when i managed to drop it into the toilet it made a plop noise which was what alerted me to its peril I then rescued it from the toilet and pegged it out on the washing line allowing it to drip dry my neighbour complained and the rspca took little hammy away should I have hoovered its cage instead?

i was on my way home from work last week and just passing next doors drive when i heard a scuttling noise past my feet then a crunch id only managed to tread on the tail of their pet hamster.I felt so bad and didnt want to confront them as theyre a bit random so i brought the wee thing into my house and fed it some mushed up bread and water, which it seemed to like.Anyway next day it seemed fine so i put it back through their letterbox.Got home tonight and the sick ****** next door have sewn some thread through some part of it and hung it on the washing line and i think its dead!!Will the RSPCA do anything about this? What should i do?

My dog is 1 1/2 years old (beagle) and my cat is around 6 years old. They don't get along at all. We have to separate the house with baby gates, but I would like to be able to have my dog and cat run freely through the house without chasing each other and fighting.

does anyone know of any nice rat cages? i got 2 male rats, and im a bit tired of thier glass cage with topper, its a real pain to clean, so if anyone can reccomend a big cage for them, that would be nice, also, i have the medium hamster starter kit from superpet, and my dwarf hamsters have outgrown it, anyone know of a bigger one?

So, I am not a fan of cats at all. I have found that they have funny issues that you can exploit for your own amusement. First, when a cat is hacking up a furball, it is especially funny to point and laugh and degrade it. They really get the point. Other than that, I find it hilarious that cats need/want privacy to poop. So, as soon as I hear them go in the box, I stand there and stare and make them feel as uncomfortable as possible. Some will get so freaked, they leave the box to come back later when I'm not around.

My question to you is: Is it really wrong to enjoy these small, but hilarious moments?

there is this awsome 18.1 hand five year old oldenburg gelding, and he sooo well mannered and the BEST mover you will ever see, and with dressage and jumping he is phenomenal, and i really want to buy him from my dressage trainer, becuase even though i would have to train him to jump and stuff, he would be sooo perfect for the level of eventing i am at now and for like the rest of my life he would be good, but i have a appendix, he is really good for the level i am at now, but like in a year or so ill have to sell him, and my dressage trainers horse Ianos (the 18.1 hand)
is up for sale now, i would have to sell my horse to get Ianos, but if i did get him then i would have to stop what i was doing for like a year to train Ianos!!! i dont know what to do!!

She is mostly black with a few white hairs throughout her whole coat. In certain seasons she has a brownish color on her muzzle and flank. Would you classify her as a black, black bay, blue roan, or grey?

Why is it so terrible to slaughter a horse? We do the same to cows? Chickens? Do people even realize how much we consume that relates to animals? Ever have marshmellows in your hot chocolate? Did you know they are a beef byproduct? Slaughter is a necessary process. Where would we dispose of all these 1000 to 1500 lb animals if we didnt send them off to be eaten? I would much rather send my horse down the road when she gets old than to find her out in the pasture either dead or dying. I have sold many horses to "meat" buyers, and I have no regrets. As for making the big bucks, get real maybe $100 for an adult horse. I really get upset with the people who are against horse slaughter, they must have no real sense of what they are proposing we do with these horses. Set them free?? That would be cruelty, they would starve to death, break bones and suffer, be eaten by mountain lions... Who is going to put up the $$$ to support the thousands of horses that would be set free?

We have two baby bunnies, I would say between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 months old. They eat all the time. And I have stated taking the food out of their cage during the day. They dig in it and most of it falls on the bottom. They are out of the cage for at least 4-6 hours a day hopping around the kitchen. And that is when I feed them. Are they spose to eat all the time or what???
