it bites at my hands, feet . and when i walk out of the room it will chase me and start to bite me . i was just wondering if there might be a reason. my guess was cause it is so young it is just playing with me. so might it calm down in the future or is this just the way that ferrets act. cause i read that ferrets are playful animals?

This is a response to a previous post apologizing to the Animal Kingdom for being human. Someone responded saying why don't we care about people first, as they are more important than animals. Why can they not be equal? I do know the arguments, but really, I guess I personally just don't understand. We are to take care of the animals, not use them at our descretion for any fool thing we want. If we need them for food, then okay. But when we don't need them as food, or use them in sport etc thats where it gets rediculous.

Secondly, speaking for myself (and maybe others), I will always choose to support animal charities over most human charities and causes. I do care a great deal for animals and have always gotten along better with them. BUT also because humans have their own voices, and most people DO support human causes. So I feel that it is only right to support those who have very little support and cannot speak for themselves.

I am sorry to the Animal Kingdom. The older I get the more I cannot bear the cruelty that abounds. Caged wild things, experiments, family pets beaten and abused. What are you all like? Every time a movie about animals comes out, everyone laughs and loves the little things depicted(currently penguins) while ignoring the plight of real ones everywhere. Anyone else care? This won't get a lot of answers, only the dumb questions do!

I have heard from a couple of people that having certain types of pets such as Iguanas, hamspers, and pet rats will discourage house mice from infesting your home. Any truth to that or just a lot of hooy?

I have a male black rabbit, he's about 1yr and 1/2 old. Its almost December, and in the last week he has been losing all his hair, why would that be? We think it could be either that our house is too hot for him and he's shedding because he may think its summer, or we also think he could be just losing his "baby hair" if thats possible, and growing in his adult hair now. Are either of those possible explanations?? We're sure he doesn't have mites or lice because he doesn't excessively scratch.. what do you think?

Here lately he is so clingy. Before about a month ago, he would love on me and cuddle, but then he would leave, but now he acts like he can't leave my side. Like he won't even eat right without me in the kitchen, and if he gets where he can't see me he meows so loud. It's like he's lost if he can't see me. So what should I do?

My ferret is perfectly healthy says a vet but she is a very picky eater and doesn't weigh alot. What are some good suggestions on what a ferret might want to eat. I currently feed her high quality ferret food. I have tried to give her ensure plus but she drinks only a few licks and is done with it. She gets the Furo-vite daily but that seems like all she wants to eat lol.

I wrote a question earlier about this topic and thank you for the answers. I went down to these teenagers riding on the two donkeys and asked them to stop riding them cos it is too cruel and they are too small, but they told me it wasn't and that the donkeys are healthy, I then told one guy that was actually sitting on the donkey that the donkey has a sore on his back right were he was sitting because i saw it earlier. He told me that he knew and that it was healed up. i asked him to show me, so he got off the donkey and the sore was still there and looked like it was bleeding a bit. i then looked at the back of his levis and there was a little blood mark on the seem. I told them that they will have to get a blanket or something to cover the donkeys back. I was wondering is that sore because of the friction from the seems of their jeans because they ride a lot bare back and always wear those tough denim levis and wranglers. If it is so then I am phoning the ASPCA straight away.
