Just moved - beautiful area, lots of apple trees and plenty of birds. I just wasn't expecting to see raccoons. They are very destructive and I would like to get rid of them or at least deter them from coming around without hurting them. Any suggestions would be appreciated and you can be sure I will try anything.

I feel for animals. I love them, and I hate to see hunters(definition for hunters- heartless monsters-) kill them just to hang them up on walls or use them as carpets. These beautiful wild animals do not deserve to be treated in such a nasty a cruel way. So my question is, would you sign a petition to ban sport(hobby) hunting?

I am putting this question in this category because many wild animals have become pets over many decades.

I have a problem when I do a 2 point. I always grip with my knees, and I know this is wrong. I also do it when I post at the trot. Does anyone know how I can stop doing it? I just started lessons so maybe it will go away with time, as my leg gets stronger?

She had 3 babies , we have a name for 1 of them and that is cadburry because (s)he looks like a cadburry bunny. The parents names are daisy and casey. One of the babies has a white strip down its face and its colour orange and white on its tummy with a bit of grey and I think its a boy but not sure. The other one I think is a female not sure again and its like light grey with orange hidden in her and a white nose like her father. They all are double maned and I think the grey is a teddy like her mom. The mom is tort and the dad is orange with white. Cadburry is tort too. Any good names.

i have heard it is 6 months. how does veal compare to full-grown market cattle? what is the reason people raise veal? we used to have a veal farm around our area but it went broke and the guy finally gained enough money back that he might start it again. but he is really hard to talk to he never really likes talking to people, etc.

is it possible to raise an Angus calf and market it at veal age? or does the breed specifically have to be dairy steers/bulls?

what do you start and grow your veal on? (like a starter or can they go straight to the grower) is it possible to have grass-fed veal?

Just bought 2 Males ginuea pigs (10weeks old) for my daughter today. Have a large Very large cage for them and proper beding. The covered section for them to sleep in takes up one third of the cage - but one of the ginuea pigs keeps chasing the other out - is this the normal to have one more dominant than the other!!??? Or is this just a teething problem!!!!

Okay, I am about to become a first time horse owner. I need to know some important things. I know that I have to get stuff like, grooming stuff, saddle, bridle, blanket, halter, lead rope etc. But I'm confused about de-wormers, bot fly eggs, mosquitoes, and stuff like that, relating to small medical routine things that I'm supposed to do. I need help!

I'd also like to know about vet checkups? Do vets check the horse every year? About how much does it cost?

Also, how much does it cost to have the farrier trim the horse, no shoes, just trim, and how often does the horse need a trim, like every 3 months? I need some help.

Well it just snowed today and we got about 5inches or more and i was wondering is their anyway that i can keep snow out of my horses feet. I know that you can take their shoes off and it helps alot but i cannot take my one horses shoes off. I have tried cisco i think that is what it is called and it doesnt work that well. I am really worried about his feet balling up with snow and having the possibility of him hurting his legs or feet. Please help

Ive noticed that whenever somebody posts a silly joke question about swinging cats etc, people in this section get all righteous and take great pleasure in missing the joke and calling them sickos. So I wonder, how many of you are true animal lovers and demonstrate this by being a vegetarian? How is a cats life more valuable than a pigs, why do people campaign about dolphins being caught in nets, what about the tuna??!

Honestly, adopting my dog, Bailey, was the best thing I ever did!! Each morning he greets me when I come downstairs, wagging his tail so that his entire body shakes and it totally makes my day!! We adopted him from a rescue group at a local Petsmart and that was probably the best day of my life..currently, he has his little heard resting on the pillow next to me snorin away!! Soo the question is, lol, Do any of you have dog adoption stories?? =]
