I have a male black rabbit, he's about 1yr and 1/2 old. Its almost December, and in the last week he has been losing all his hair, why would that be? We think it could be either that our house is too hot for him and he's shedding because he may think its summer, or we also think he could be just losing his "baby hair" if thats possible, and growing in his adult hair now. Are either of those possible explanations?? We're sure he doesn't have mites or lice because he doesn't excessively scratch.. what do you think?

It's normal. He's just shedding his summer coat so he can grow a warmer one for winter. I know it seems kind of backwards.

A lot of rabbits do this
in the wild-- they use this disgarded fur to line their nests to help insulate for the hard winter to come---If you notice in the next little while--they will be putting on a much heavier coat !!

I know it's almost December, but technically it's still "fall". Don't worry about it to much...if it gets to be January and your bunny is bald than worry
