we are 'babysitting' the classroom hamsters for the week and I believe they are from the same litter (I got them for the classroom). Anyways, if they're not siblings, then they are cousins or aunt/nephew relation. ANYWAYS - will siblings mate?

Also, how soon after birth will they mate? these are a few months old. Of course I'm not even sure if they're male and female. Have to do a little hamste exam for that.

I live in an apartment with two roomies. They had purchased two hamsters with cage and ball and extra wheel in September when they were 8 weeks old. They had split the cost and agreed that Roomie 1 would be 100 percent caregiver when Roomie 2 was gone for holiday breaks and such. I didn't put any $ into this so we all agreed it really wasnt my responsibility.I was alone almost all of Thanksgiving Break, assuming that Roomie 1 would be back periodically for different things, and thus would be responsible for the hamsters. I was alone Fri and Sat night, and since I assumed she was coming in and out (she never called me) that the hamsters were okay. I never really paid much attention to them except the original glance in the cage. As of Thurs night, they seemed fine. Sun night-they are dead. Me and Roomie 2 examined the cage and found the food dish bone dry, and extra food gone too that they stuffed and hid. Are we wrong to assume this is neglect from Roomie 1? They were healthy before.

K...I wanted a Turtle, then I wanted a Hermit-Crab. Now I want a fish...I think what I really wanted was something in a fish tank. So what shoudl I do...I dont want a turtle because I might kill it! I dont think I want a Hermit-Crab because its going to pinch me and you have to pick out a specific shell for it and they get so HUGE! So Im thinking a fish will do...I just want a pet that can stay in my room, does NOT smell, and cant get ran overed, killed or run away! So what kind of animal should I get? I REALLY NEED HELP! IF I GET A FISH...WHAT KIND SHOULD I GET THAT WONT COST ALOT OF $MOOLA$?

My hamster has a black lump on her back and i heard they are called mites. She is also losing some fur. Her skin is rough and the hair doesnt feel soft anymore. Its been like this for a few weeks. Will it eventually go away? Will the hair grow back? my dad wont take it to a vet because its costs a lot. If i dont do anything, will my hamster die?

Buddy is 14.2 and can jump really high!! He is sweet and has a very cute unusual attitude! He is chestnut and has a stripe and snip, he has 2 stockings and 2 small socks. he is really fast, but hes an eventer, he is a born dressage pony, his transitions are really nice! im looking for a show name that is very unique! and his show name now is Born Identity...im not sure what it means..(I had to choose it in like 5 minutes!!)...so im not sure if I want to keep thta show name or not!! thanks!!

Lol, I am dragging my girl everywhere. Every school year, up to college, summers- back to the parents house. She also costs close to what I make in a year to keep her with me, not including vet bills. She eats grain w/ supplements, Glu injections, etc, and I eat ramen noodles everynight, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Am I insane or are there others out there, supporting their own habit, addiction, kid, whatever you want to call it :)

I need answers from certified vet techs, not assistants. I just wanted to know if you would recommend becoming a vet tech to anyone. I am considering going to school for this. I am currently a vet assistant and really love my job. I was also curious about the pay and if it is worth the job. Any info from certified vet techs would be great, also info about the schooling too. Thanx.

When I see a Horse being miss treated by having a person over 150lbs/ 68 kg I just want to push /kick that person off that poor innocent horses back ......Is there a law that limits the weight of person to protect horses

Ok,my fiance killed a small scorpion this morning but I didn't believe him,like 5 minutes ago,I saw one and he killed it.I'm so terrified now,because we have a 2 year old and he loves playing with bugs and ants and things and I don't want him playing with these things.Could there be a nest in my house?How do I get rid of them? I have very good qualitity horses--- ponies and horses-holsteiners. they are all very good quality. I have them all VERY under priced, because I don't have the hay to keep them through the winter. they are aversitized all over the internet, but nobody ever buys. any suggestions?
