I've just visited their website.
http://www.petsathome.com/icat/smallanimals

Cages range from £19.99 to £37.99.
Water bottles cost around 99p.
Food bowls around £1.29 (must be ceramic not plastic as gerbils like to chew)
Bedding etc. I'd allow about £3 (which should be ample)

You also have to buy food which of course depends on how much you buy at once. You might also want to buy some treats or wood chews. Though the ones that I had really liked toilet roll & kitchen role tubes & had lots of fun with those.

I don't know how much the gerbils are in Pets At Home though, sorry - they are likely to be cheaper if you buy them by following up an advert in your local paper or by visiting a local petshop in your town. I'd probably budget for them costing around £10 each in Pets At Home.

So altogether, allowing for cheapest options, I reckon it'll cost a minimum of £35.

Well, in the US at a Petco/PetsMart, the gerbil is usually priced around $8. Then the cages can vary between $15-40 dollars, depending on the type you get, and what's included.
Food usually costs around $3, treats around $2-5. Bedding depends on the type, usually $5 and up.
