Perfectly normal. A happy rabbit "dances" (hops and runs, does twist in air). If you have "rabbit proofed" a room let your bunny run around in that room, he won't need a lot of space but he will like to explore. Rabbits should be allowed to eat as much hay as they can consume. I give mine some veges, a small (1/8 cup a piece) serving of oxbow pellets and as much hay as they can handle.

This is absolutely normal. I'm assuming he's young? If so he's got a tonne of energy to burn off. The jumping is called a binky and it's an expression of happiness and play. If you have a room that you can close off and let him run in you'll see it even better! He'll spring in the air, twist and turn, kick his feet, run mad laps and after he's finished, throw himself to the floor and maybe even roll on his back. It's all normal. This is also a good opportunity to spend some getting to know you time.

Good luck and enjoy your new friend.

Get him a bigger cage, I don't know what's wrong with the person that said get a smaller one.... or if you bunny proof (hide cables, plastic bags, etc) your room or home, he can live outside like mine does. He jumps because he is happy!! And also because he has a natural instinct to run, as he is the the lower part on the food chain :) Mine jumps and runs when I come into the room, and I can tell he is happy. Please if you can, don't keep it in a cage :( they learn pretty quickly how to be litter trained, they are clean animals.

Rabbits love to run and jump - it is a sign of a healthy, happy rabbit. And it is wonderful that he is eating hay - rabbits need an unlimited supply. If you bunny is a baby, he should be getting alfalfa and a grass hay and plain alfalfa pellets. the links I've included below will give you lots of tips on care, feeding, and health.

Put it in a smaller cage so that it doesn't have enough or it has less room to jump.
