well.. read this first:
Drugs that pass animal tests end up harming or killing humans about 61% of the time. Promising treatments are withheld from humans when they don't pass animal tests. Scientists point to huge chances of possible vaccines for cancer, heart disease, and HIV being withheld from the public because of faulty animal tests.
And not all of the animals killed in laboratories are researching drugs and cures, millions of rabbits die after being tortured by cosmetic companies. Cosmetic companies perform more then half of all animal tests.
Animal testing is a flawed and generally misleading method of scientific investigation that wastes time, money and resources.
tested for cosmetics and drugs usually..

They test everything on animals, needed or not. Cosmetics, pesticides, chemicals, you name it.
Trouble it sometimes the animal's metabolism isnt the same as ours. End result is a false sense of security, and we get prescribtion drugs that are killing people.
Sometimes it's totally not needed. New brands of shampoo using the same old chemicals are still put on animals to blind and kill them. Why do this if we already tested the ingredients? And besides, how many hundred new formulas of shampoo do we need every year?

Makeup products
Food additives
Contagious diseases and genetic disorders.
Stem cell "reasearch" started on them
Clones, to create the best "beef" , "sheep" and "chicken" for consumption. That is the pimary AG purpose of clones.
I don't like the reality of this, yet I am very thankful for those animals for saving my life by giving theirs.

refers to the use of non-human animals in experiments. It is estimated that 50–100 million animals worldwide [4][5][6] are used annually and subsequently killed in scientific procedures — conducted as part of pure research, applied research, or toxicology testing — mostly inside universities, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies, and commercial facilities that provide animal-testing services to industry. Testing is also carried out on farms, in defense-research establishments, and by public-health authorities, on a variety of species from fruit flies and mice to non-human primates. [7] Most laboratory animals are purpose bred, while a smaller number are caught in the wild or supplied by pounds. [8]
DOGS: The cardiovascular and respiratory systems of dogs are similar to those of human beings. Dogs have been used to study heart disease and to develop drug treatments and surgical procedures, including coronary bypass surgery, pacemaker implantation, heart valve insertion, and angioplasty. Dogs have also been used for transplant research and research on how to overcome immune system rejection.
CATS: The neurological system of the cat is very much like that of human beings. A great deal of information has been collected about how cats’ sensory systems work. Cats are used in research on the transmission of visual information from the eye to the brain, hearing disorders, and brain and spinal cord injuries.
PRIMATES: Non-human primates were used in research on Rh disease, which affects babies whose blood type differs from that of their mothers. Baboon research led to a new technique now being tested in humans that allows cancerous bone marrow cells to be removed without destroying healthy ones. Monkeys are used to test drugs to combat malaria, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries.
