almost everyone that i know hate wolves what have they done to you nothing so why do people hate them???

im 12 soooo yeah they only attack if there hungry or they are protecting there babies

People either hate or like their image. If you look at the facts- yes wolves will eat livestock- it is a lot easier to catch a dumb sheep than a fast deer, they will attack and kill your dog- it is another canine on their territory- they think it is a threat.
The only human attacks I have heard of by wolves is from ones that people kept in captivity or were wolf-hybrids. Those ones lost their fear of humans.
Another reason people hate them: the age old fairy tales- wolves were always bad sneaky creatures.
Some hunters think they are also eating all of the deer- not true- they will eat the weak and sickly ones. The big bucks everyone is after are too strong and can easily evade wolves.
I don't absolutely love them, but I respect them as I do all animals. I would trust a wolf over a wild cat any day. They are highly intelligent- the 3 I have worked closely with loved attention and were bottle-raised.
Also, did you know that Canis Lupus is the species name for both wolves and domestic dog. The genetics (and thus interbreeding) are still so similar that mammalogists have them in the same species. Canis familiaris is just a made up name by people who want to have their dogs separate from wolves.

Sometimes people who own farms dislike them if they have sheep, chickens, or rabbits that wolves like to eat.
Not everyone hates wolves. Some may hunt them and get money for the hides, teeth and that.
Some have had them as a pet maybe, and it could have turned on a child, or its owner because they are naturally a wild animal.
I learned that sometimes people can hate things, or other people because it represents something they dislike in themselves.
Maybe they hate them because they envy the wilderness area that they come from which means a special freedom, a special breed it takes to survive in the wild.

People suck and are ignorant.
Why a thumbs down??? People don't suck??? They're not ignorant??? You gotta be kidding me. Wolves don't hurt anybody. What, a farmer lost a sheep a few times? So what?! It's what happens when you introduce animals into the domain of a predator. Wolves have been revered for thousands of years, and feared and killed by the ignorant. I'm no tree hugger or PETA member, but the way humans have persecuted the wolf is disgusting. Do a little research and you'll know who the culprit is. Humans could learn a lot from wolves.

almost everyone I know loves wolves. they do have a bad rep, that is really because of people. as people moved into their territory, the wolves started being a problem for farmers, a sheep or caged chicken is a much easier meal than a fast rabbit. Ask the people you know why they hate them. That will answer your question best I think.

Ranchers hate wolves because wolves kill livestock. Wolves have a bad rap from mythology (think Little Red Riding Hood, a "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", werewolves, etc).
I knew some people who had wolf hybrids (part wolf part dog) as pets. They're okay for pets but they're very high maintenance. They need TONS of attention.

Lack of education.
Stupidity, and arrogance.
Wolfs rarely attack human beings, and in old times humans would stalk wolfs and scare them away after they've made a kill to steal there food.
Other humans took in wolves and joined their pack; witch eventually led to the domestic dog as we know today.
Wolves only kill when they're hungry or being attacked.
Unlike cats Witch kill for sport, much like humans at times.
The people who are saying wolves are blood thirsty monsters are fools who need to
think before they speak; they know nothing.

God, I HATE people like that! I especially hate people who hate ALL wolves. Even the cute little puppies and the wolf furries! I wish they would all die. I came across two of idiots on deviantart who hate wolves over nothing. That stupid flygon even said that he ran over a wolf on purpose with his car! He killed a wolf for no reason! I wish they would all get eaten by a hungry pack of wolves. If they hate wolves, that means they hate domestic dogs, like my pug!

Because people tend to hate things that they are afraid of. They don't know how wolves are a needed factor in our environment.
P.S. I fear wolves too (I used to have horrible nightmares about them) but I do not hate them. I think they are magnificent creatures.

people always hate what they do not know or have not tried or do not understand you and i would call that tunnel vision or ignorance or lack of wanting to know a different way or point of view i think wolves are a beautiful animal

people move in and destroy the wolves' habitats. the wolves are then forced to find an alternate source of food. which are the animals that the people have brought with them. people brought this on themselves
