I posted a question a little while ago about a kitten i rescued who is ferrel. She has never been around other cats so never got any social skills. I have been debating on whether to give her to someone who can have her as an outside cat or just deal with it. She is so pretty but bites constantly. I just feel like I would be abandoning her aftering rescuing her. Many people told me to wait and see and other said that it would be best to let her go. I want to find the best option because as much as it annoys me now I really love her. Now my second question that I want to post is, do you think I should "try" and get another kitten to see if she gets better with that.

Suddenly they have stopped using the litter box and are peeing on the floor instead. The litter box is cleaned regularly. What do I do to stop this behaviour?

This cat lie's in waiting. My friends dog trotted past a bush and the cat attacked the dog. His one eye was in shreds and his nose was torn open. Now my point is would that cat be destroyed, like if a dog attacked a cat it would probably be put to sleep. Am i wrong?? Just curious. TKU.

My cat is constantly scratching his one ear to the point where it knocks itself over from scratching so hard. You can tell it is really bothering him and I thought that he could have earmites and just thought I would check into it before I took him to the vet.

I am fostering a mom cat and her kitten, which I plan on adopting both of them. I have had them for 3 weeks now. I can't get mom to leave my room. I also have 2 dogs which all get along and actually kiss each other. Night is a problem, for the kitten and cat play and chase one another, jump in the bath tub, run all around the room and even jump on Dad while he is trying to sleep. How can I get her to come out of my room and enjoy the rest of the house. She came out a few times and walks down the hall, but then runs back under my bed. Any advice is wonderful

Why does my cat chatter at birds?

He is 3 years old, a grey tabby, and he's ALWAYS been an indoor cat. NEVER been outside. Right now, he is sitting on top of the TV, looking out the window and "chattering" at birds. Why does he do that?

My husband and I are going on vacation for 5 days (wed-sat) soon, and our 6 month old kitten will have to stay home at our apartment.
We plan on having friends or family come and check on him (feed him, clean litterbox, play with him, etc.) a few times while we're gone.
How often should I have someone check in on him, and is it preferable to keep him at home or bring him to a cat kettle (if that even exists)?

Well my male cat that I've had for a few years now and is about 2 yrs old or so, he always jumps up on the kitchen counter to drink out of the sink. Now I have a younger cat a female whos close to a year old or so, she jumps up there everytime i go in there to prepare food. she gets right up in ur plates and stuff! And when no one is even in the kitchen she gets up there and walks around and sniffs around and if u have left food out shes got it! i swat at her and spray her but she does it again and again. now shes got my older male cat doing it and he knows better. now he gets up there and gets into food and the other morning i found a new loaf of bread with a hole in the package and a couple pieces of bread eaten. when i picked it up both cats started acting guilty. I get on to them both time and time again. but they dont stop. how can i get them to stop? my older cat knows better though but hes following what the younger cat does. so how can i stop them?

My kitten really got upset the last time she had to go to the vet. This time, I took her brother along too (in a different carrier) and everyone was pretty happy. He had a positive attitude that kept her calm. I didn't have any "Rescue Remedy" to give her, but I bought some there for next time if I need it.

I have four cats, all of them related to each other.I have one cat that's the oldest, one that's 1of4 of the offspring of the oldest cat;and two that are basically the grandchilldren of the oldest cat.

Oldest cat is real nice and lets anyone pet her
2nd oldest is kinda mean&has a attitude
the 2 younger:one of them looks like a twin of the 2nd oldest(difference is the older is F&the younger M);the oter is looks like a marshmellow;thus we named him Marshmellow. And marshmellow also has a bad if not worse attitude.

Problem is I cant put flee/tick sray or powder on any of them. Each one will throw a fit and attempt to scratch me up if I try &put something on them.Evan the oldest catwhich is the nicest, sweetest,&most docile. Each one just refuses to let me put flee&tick stuff on them.First I was using the spray&that didnt work.Thinkin the powder is quiet&they wont notice...WRONG,they still know what it is.
So what do I do,so I can put some flee&tick stuff on them so they dont get ForT?

Hi I free feed both my cats (they always have food) but they don't eat very much. Does anyone know if they might have a better chance at gaining weight if I fed them on a regular schedule. They need to gain more weight to be at a healthy size. what should I do?

I have two cats and a dog. I got a five month old kitten about a month ago, male. The older cats are both female. The dog and one of the cats adjusted to the new addition ok. However the oldest cat, Lipton, who is fourteen has not. She lays in the laundry room growling and hissing everytime she catches sight of Toby, the new kitten. She won't come out and won't eat unless Toby is put in the bedrroom. Also she has begun growling and hissing at Darcy and Roger the cat and dog who untill I got the kitten she was fine with. She even used to play with Darcy, the other cat. Why isn't she adjusting? Why is she now also having problems with Roger and Darcy? What can I do?

First of all, just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have helped me thus far with my new kitty (and 0 experience on having one) and this has been my best resource for finding the answers I need about my cat. So thanks a ton.

As for my question this time. Basically the last 2 days or so, my kitty will not go near his food dish quite as often (loss of apparetite it seems) and he will not drink water (even tried milk and he turned that down as well) He will drink and eat on occasion, but only for short periods of time, then he walks away and wanders through the house aimlessly into random spots trying to get in closed doors and whatnot. I followed him around to see what he wanted, but he just walks in once I open the door then walks out. He will not stop meowing either, no matter what I do. I play with him, he gets annoyed and runs from me, i give him food and drink and he doesnt want it. He just wanders around meowing. What heck gives? Any help appreciated...

My cat is overweight and I was recommended by the vet to give her dry light cat food. My cat does not like Science Diet and I don't think Purina is the best food. Wondering if anyone has suggestions on brands that do work and that cats love?

Thanks!

About 7 or 8 months ago I rescued a kitten from my old roommate's house. He had barn cats that werent fixed and had kittens non-stop. At one point I rescued one because the mom abandoned her. She is absolutly beautiful but the problem is...she is mean. I got her fixed and tried to do nothing but give her love and she bites you. You cant even pet her, and I mean literally because she bites you. Its not where you pet her for a while and she plays with you, the entire time I have had her I could bet her maybe 5 times. I think it is because she is ferrel and maybe imbreed. I feel that I am doing a horrible thing but I am thinking about giving her to someone to have as an outside cat. ( I would but I live in an apt.) Do you think I am doing the right thing?
