The vet can do a lot of things to help but depending on what they find while the cat is there effects how likely they are to fix it. Most of the time if the enteritis isnt too bad it can usually be treated but if the cat has had it for a long time it could be too bad to fix. Talk to your vet and see what he/she thinks is the likely outcome of your cats stay. If they didnt tell you already whether or not it looks good for your cat then it is probably going to be ok. Most of the time the vet will tell you up front that there isnt much hope so you dont get false hope and then have something bad happen. Well I hope your cat is ok. Good luck

Most cases of feline lymphocytic-plasmacytic enteritis cannot be cured, although the disease is not usually life threatening. With aggressive therapy, many cases can be adequately controlled.

There is no set treatment regimen for every case of lymphocytic-plasmacytic enteritis in the cat. The appropriate choice of immune-suppressing drugs for treating feline LPE is up to your veterinarian. Treatment must be tailored to each cat's needs.
