How long have you been buying the particular brand? Why do you buy it?

My hubby drug home a pregnant hairless several weeks back. The person who owned her didn't want her because she had ran off in season rather than mating with the other crested. Anyway, she had her pups, I had her shots and found a home for her. I have given away three pups so far. One of the hairless puppies that is left is cryptorchid. I have someone who wants him, which would be fine, but I want to make sure he is neutered if necessary due to the defect.

My question is--
Is anyone familiar with this breed? How late can the gonads descend? These puppies are almost eight weeks old. Is it possible they will still descend or not? I don't want to give him away to a stranger just incase they aren't a person who would care for him correctly due to the cryptorchidism. I won't keep him or any of them myself. But I can't just give him to someone who won't care for him. Dr says they might still come down? opinions?

They are Red, Blue, & Fawn. They will be AKC registered but not before they are sold.

the next week. She has contacted several rescue animal groups, and she doesn't want to bring them to an animal shelter where they may face euthanasia... My question is, are there any other options besides putting them in the paper?

She has toys, food and fresh water but just seems to cry all the time even when you stroke her or give her affection she just bites you or scratches you and does seem to want to be handled.

I'm asking this as I own a few horses myself and would like to be able to do this myself. The horses I own are not ridden and do not need to be shoed, they only require trimming. I find it increasingly harder to get a farrier to do this and have the time on my hands to do it.
Has anyone got any ideas?

...on the 2nd floor. I don't have a stand for it but I will be placing it on top of my dresser. The 55 Gallon would fit perfectly with a few inches of room to spare. My question is, would the floor be able to hold 1000lbs? Just say the 55 Gallon filled up is around 500+lbs and the dresser is 400+lbs.

We had bad luck with our fishtank when we tried to have one last year. It's a 30 gallon vertical type, and all we wanted were a few nice, pretty goldfish to look at. Nothing fancy. We got a nice filter and water conditioners and stress coat and all the stuff you are supposed to get. But we'd get a fish from Petsmart and pretty soon, usually all the old fish would die and then eventually the new fish would as well. It' was frustrating. The tank has sat empty for several months now and I'd like to try again but I don't want the same thing to occur. So I need GOOD info to give them a nice healthy start. I thought goldfish were supposed to be easy!

Other then getting rid of him. My cat, if the liter box is dirty which is about 2 days will pee on anything material on the floor. Or on the couch. But thats not all, if I don't pay him enough attention when I get home, like I went straight to bed one time after work. He actually peed on me.
The other thing is he claws my furniture despite the fact that I yell at him, and sometimes he won't even quit then and since he'd move if I got up to get him I have to throw something at him to get him to quit.
I've tried since I got him to keep him off the table and counters, and he gets really jelous of my other older kitty and attacks her if she gets any attention.
I love this cat, because he's the kind thats really hard to love, but surprisingly affectionate. But I need to gain control! Any suggestions?

Hello all - I've searched the answers here and can't seem to tell whether or not my cardigan corgi is in heat or she's sick. She has had no bleeding that I can tell of, but she is enlarged, she's peeing more frequently, licking herself constantly, and my 5yr old male cardigan licks the floor wherever she has been sitting. They are both leash trained and have not been out of my sight, he is neutered, but we did have an "incident" at the beach about 5wks ago with a male puppy trying to mount her, but it did not seem successful as I got to her and picked her up quickly. Do you all have any ideas? thanks in advance for your help.

Tomorrow I'm taking my cat to the doctors and he may decide to keep him. He's 21 and not until the past few weeks he's been completely fine. He started getting mats in his fur and my mom had to shave his fur off with a razor. He was a year old when I was born and he is the greatest friend I ever had. I know he's lived a long life but I didn't expect this to happen so suddenly. I don't know if I can handle this :(

I've only had her 4 days and the diarrhea started yesterday. She was checked out B4 adoption, had no worms and is seemingly healthy. I know she's had a change in environment, she and my other cat are having to adapt to each other and, of course, a change in food. She is getting Naturals dry food and a can of Friskies wet food a day. I was told to cut out the boneless, skinless chicken breast.

I'm concerned about dehydration as I never see her belly up to the various water bowls and fountain we have. I do put plenty of water in her wet food to compensate for this but I'm still concerned. I am reading so much about this dehydration thing.

I'll be bringing a sample of her stool in to the vet on wednesday for testing again. Am I unduly worried at this time? How long do I let this play out? Does she just need some time to settle in???

Thank you, everyone, for your input, suggestions and reply.

I adopted a dog from a shelter a little over a week ago. For a few days he was great, but a little clingy. But now his attitude seemed to change; not to me, but he growls and get defencive against men that are just around. I can't stand it because it is mainly directed to my father and younger brother. He has never bitten them, but I would like to change his behavior before it gets that before.

I know that it is not lack of exercise for we run and go for walks everyday.

Sadly if he does not change I am going to have to get rid of him. He has never been mean toward me; in fact, for me he is generally obidient.

If you know of anything I would apprechiate knowing.

We are getting a chocolate lab puppy this weekend. What is a good food that we can feed her? I want something better than Alpo but I can't afford Eukanuba.

Do you have any suggestions?

I'm reading up on the AKC standards for beagles just to find out a little more about them. There are some phrases that I don't understand:

"swayed or roached back"
"Stifles strong and well let down"
"Lips free from flews"
"Pasterns short and straight."
"Rat tail with absence of brush." (as a defect)

What are stifles, flews, pasterns and rat tails? And what do they mean when they say the dog's back is "roached" or "swayed"? What is chest depth?

I'm not intending to breed or show my dogs, I am reading for interest only.

Thanks.

If we bring him into our bed after we take him out at 3:30am, he does not urinate. If he is with us in the house all day, he does not urinate. He only does it when he's in the crate. We've tried everything. Making the crate smaller, taking him out every couple of hours, etc... He hates the crate, I don't want him to feel like it's a punishment. We leave the door open when we're home, he isn't afraid to go into the crate. I just don't get it.
