Well first - My friend has a qh mare. My friend thinks she is broke and good and then sometimes she thinks she is a lunatic. She wanted to start her jumping so she started lunging her and put up a barrel. She hasnt properly taught her horse to jump or set herself up and hides it from our trainer. We ride western and i dont know much about english but this seems wrong. She doesnt use tendon supporters or anything and im worried for the horses sake and hers.

Second: When she trailers her horse she lets her loose. I would never do that. I always keep my horses tied up in the trailer. But she lets her walk around loose and it seems dangerous.

I cant just say you shouldnt be doing this. I dont want to loose a friend but if i dont tell her im afriad her or her horse will get hurt. Shes careless when it comes to her horse and her horse is almost dangerous. What should i do? I dont want to tell the trainer and tattle but im worried for safety. Shes older and wont listen to me. Help!

I love horses, and have been riding for almost 5 years. All the people at my barn have brought in these gorgeous horses to lease, and i need some advice. What breed do you think is best for dressage AND possibly jumping? Pretty much an all around riding horse? I know it depends on the personality too, but some breeds do better than others. A stray kitten showed up at my door, she has been outside all of her life. I plan on adopting her as a housecat. She is still somewhat fearful of people, I can gently pet her for a minute then she gets a little skiddish- it's just taking some time to build up some trust.
I haven't taken her to the vet yet, but soon as I get some cash I am going to get her checked for worms, get rabies shots, etc, but in the mean time, I noticed some small bugs on her fur next to her skins, they don't look like the typical fleas, these little bugs are tiny, shaped like a tick or a flea, but are like a pale tan color. I am not sure if they are lice or some type of mite. There are tiny white dots on the end of her fur that she sheds, almost like these would be eggs or nits or something. I've seen fleas before but these don't look like that, but I've never seen lice or mites before and wondering what these "bugs" are and what can be done over the counter until I can take her to the vet.

Hey - right I have a 19 year old semi retired mare who suffers from COPD (broken wind) during the summer she lives out so has no probs with it at all as shes away from dust etc - but with the winter rapidly approaching Im between two minds whether to bring her in for the winter or not... even when I soak her hay and dampen her bedding she still gets quite congested and coughy. But the thoughts of leaving her out - even though shs quite hardy and shed be well rugged up and checked on breaks my heart - its like, which option is better - to leave her out which is better for her - or bring her in which is more so better for me as I wont be thinking of her out all night in the wind and rain (I live in Ireland!) What would you guys do in my predictament?

I have a orange molly in my tank and just recently i have noticed that it started to get fat.
In my tank i have all liverbearers: platys, guppies and mollies.
Im almost certian that all of my 3 mollies are female because of there large nut unpointed anal fin.

So why as my molly got so big?
Can liveberers cross breed ?
If it is pregnant when shall i put it into the breeding box?
And how can i be 100% sure what sex they are?

I bought some plants the other day for my tank. I'm trying to learn. I've got some books from the library and am teaching myself about proper plant care in the aquarium. However, I have a brazilian pennywort that is starting to look bad. I don't know how to diagnose the problem. If I posted a picture of it on here, would anyone be able to tell me what's wrong with it (ie. lighting, water quality, temperature, etc.)? Also, know any good sites that might help me out about learning how to care for them and troubleshooting any problems?

I have two little girls that I babysit and my cat is always hissing at them. They call her Miss Hissy Pants. I keep telling them to leave her alone, they may end up getting swatted if they bug her. I am not going to lock her up while they are here, it is her house too, besides I have 3 other cats. She doesn't like little people!! She is not used to kids, they are the only kids that come here. She is great as long as they are not around!

I noticed this yesterday too. One of my budgies is an yellow faced albino budgie and i bought him and the other one 3 days ago and i can see him picking at his feathers. Its not even that hes picking at them but it looks like hes grabbing onto the feathers and like straightning them out. At this very moment hes doin it. I see no feathers falling off when he does this but he does it all over many times during the day. Is this normal??

My cat had its paw torn open by my pet rat.I thought my cat was out of the room because I did not want my rat to get hurt but my cat was in the closet im my room since the door was shut I did not expect the cat to be there.And I heard the cat scream and saw the rat biting its paw.I took the cat to the vet they did what was necessary and told me to let him relax and make sure he doesnt reinjure his paw.I just want more tips on making my cat more comfortable.

My dog ran away from me at 6:30 pm. I looked for him until 11:00 pm. I ran/walked through woods, onto the beach and over fields. I finally found him at 10:30 but he ran from me into the woods. The woods were dark but I checked them out until they became too dark. A thunder and lightening storm then came and it rained like crazy. I decided to go home. I then waited up until 2:30 am. He did not come home. I then went looking for him the next day. Started at 7:30 am and got a phone call at 1:30 in the afternoon. Again I looked into the woods, beach and fields. at 1:00 the police phoned and told me he was in a persons garden. I went and picked him up. He has been acting strange since - for the last two days. And for the first time I am wary of him. (He is an Akita)
