What does one do with a pet snail?

If your mom has already had one, then she knows how wonderful they can be. Have you discussed your desire with your moms friend-she may be able to help you out. Do your homework, find out everything you can about piggies, show your mom that you are prepared and responsible. Do know-piggy's need lots of interaction with their humans, so be prepared! Good luck!

I have been in a sintuation like this before. I read A LOT about the animal I wanted and did tons of research. It was during the summer and I still did reports on the animal and everything. Since you are getting yours for free from a friend, money isn't the issue but it's probably responsibility that is. Guinea Pigs pee and poop A LOT all over their bedding and you'll need to clean it all the time to keep it smelling ok. Also, you'll need to supply food and water daily along with bedding, company, toys, and exersice. Try volunteering at a pet shelter for a while or cleaning up after any pets you might have. Before my mom let me get a Guinea Pig, I had to know A LOT about them and also work with other animals. I had to work for my next door neighbor every weekend while they were gone. I had to clean up cat vomit and litter boxes, feed fish, hermit crabs, lizards, and take care of the dog. I had to come over there like 5 times a day and in all I was over at her house for easily 4 hours per day. Having pets is a big chore so maybe instead of just wanting one you should start proving it. You can't just tell her that you want one- you have to start proving that you are responsible enough and can handle a live animal. You'll need some money too to pay for food and bedding plus toys and things monthly. Good Luck!

What you could do is do some research and find out some pros and cons about getting a guinea pig. Then organize them into a fashion that would help your point. Also explain to your mom that you would take care of it which includes cleaning the cage, feeding it, playing with it. Also if you have access to your own money say an allowance mention to your mom that you would help pay for food when possible. So your mom wouldn't really have to do anything.

You should show your mom information about guinea pigs online and tell her you researched them and know how to take care of one. Start doing a lot of chores around the house or get a job either one (if you're old enough) so they will think you're able to take care of it--- and keep bugging them!

Guinea pigs are messy, so focus on their cuteness.

Better yet, tell them that having a guinea pig would really motivate you to do better in school and to do your chores. You could say "Mommy, daddy, without a guinea pig, I just don't think that I could be motivated enough to do my homework." ;)

tell her you will take care of it..you will clean the cage make sure it has food and water give it a bath all that stuff also tell her they dont stink and that they r really good cause they like to exorcise and dont like to just sit around and that they might squeak a little but really they arent that bad and they just squeak when they r scared or need something

Tell her things like how this will teach you responsibilities of how to care for things, and how you really want it so much, and how much it'll mean to you if she says yes, and things like how you'd have your own little cute friend and that would mean allot to you and then at the end say please and do a cute sad face...lol...usually helps...HOPES THIS HELPS =D...good luck in your mum saying yes =/...this is like a 90% chance out of 100 this would work!well 95%
