Of course they can!! If you go to sleep and you smile, lay on your back, which exposes your most important exposure points don't you feel safe? That animal feels as though he or she is in a safe environment. Animals are so much like people it's scary. If you jerk or run or try to fend off something in your sleep aren't you having a bad dream? The emotions are the same. The size and memory is the only difference. That is why animals love so unconditionally. They trust us to make them feel safe. I only wish humans had the same capacity to love that animals do.

Yes, I had a dog that had been abused as a puppy. He would dream when he was laying down and sleeping and his legs would start moving like he was running. This happened quite often for his first couple of years.

I think they can, but I'm just basing that on the knowledge that my dog howls like she's hurt in her dreams. It scared me so bad one night I actually had to go check on her! Lol, and the second answer is hillarious!

Sure, my dog barks in his sleep sometimes. But it could also be a good dream of chasing a squirrel or something.

sure, animals do have thoughts and desires. in the event that they did no longer have thoughts, they might not have the skill to confirm what grow to be compliment and what grow to be punishment. examine have shown that as quickly as pets dream, the comparable area of their strategies lights fixtures up as whilst we human beings dream.
