I'm looking for a male-female pair, no special pedigree is necessary. I'm willing to drive a good distance and am also willing to pay for shipping if necessary, though I'd prefer to find a breeder somewhere in the tri-state(parts of IN, IL, KY) area.

Sirius is a year old. From the time we brought him home at four weeks, he has had hip problems. My husband bought him for my birthday and when we noticed it, he offered to take him back and get me another dog. I declined.

From the time he has been 3 months old, he sometimes is in such pain that he collapses and refuses to move for hours. The Vet said that he will do some more X-rays on him and that for now I need to be thinking about surgery or the possibility of putting him to sleep when he gets a few years older.

To me, this is an extreme measure, and an expensive one.

He is a Labrador, and weighs around 63 pounds.

Anyone know of anything to ease his pain and make his life a little more comfortable?

Thanks

My dog is a 6 year old Yellow Lab and her name is Daisy. The first time we took her to the vet was when we got her to check up on everything. Well a few years later around when she was about 4 she started itching terribly. Like she would take 2 steps and itch...2 steps and itch. and on and on....she couldn't even sleep. So we took her to the vet and we got her a shot for hydrocotozone(sp?) and it got rid of all the fleas...but the vet told us that she was ALLERGIC to fleas...out of all things fleas! What dogs get the most! So she stopped for a while and now for about 2 weeks she is really starting to itch...I'm talking about worse than before..the vet told us to give her a bynnedryl(sp?) and it would help her. It sort of does but not enough..my dog is suffering and I feel terrible. Do any of yall know any home remedies I could give her or just anything...I must add she is well bathed so its not because she is dirty.

Thank you so much!
Haley

We were looking for a dog. Not a "mutt" or a purebred, but a dog that worked well for my families lifestyle. Shedding, intelligence and size were major factors. We researched breeds, breeders and health risks. We ended up with a multi-generation labradoodle female. Yes we paid more then I thought we would. But here is what we have after three months. One helluva dog!

Our Labradoodle will be medium size (45-55 lbs). She has a wavy black coat, most likely will not shed much. 90% potty trained in two weeks. 7 commands after three weeks. Is so laid back I thought maybe I made the wrong choice. Extremely loving, smart, low shedder and loves the water and the kids. No excessive nipping, barking or chewing. Loyal to a fault! What a "Mutt"

And as far as purebreds being "better" then mix breeds?
Read below and give me your thoughts. More health issues it seems

I think Doodles are wonderful! They are getting a very bad wrap!

About 7 years ago, some neighbors moved in and immediately started problems with us. First it was our dogs were bothering them, then it was our music, etc. Well, lately they have took it upon themselves to lie to any authority figure to get us in trouble with the law. Just yesterday, they had animal control take our dogs, because they lied to them and said that our dogs were dangerous and mean towards them.. in accuality it is the other way around they own a dog that has been trained to kill on comand. They have told this dog to attack us in our own yard, My husband called police, but they did nothing. We own 2 pitbulls, and a mixed mutt, these dogs are the kindest and gentlest dogs you could meet. My kids, relatives, and other neighbor kids love the dogs. The dogs have never showed any aggression towards kids or other people, exception of the mean neighbors - who taunted and teased in the past. any suggestions as what to do????

It couldn't walk right. Its legs started to spasm and jerk at different angles. It lasted about 2 minutes. After it calmed down, it walked normally again. Any ideas on what happened?

I have bought a pair of spurs for when I ride because my horse needs a bit of obedience. I have to say that they work really well, When she gets out of line i give her a little jab then she listens to what I say. But a walker by on the beach one day told me to take them off at once and she raved on about how cruel they are. I tried to explain to her but she just would not listen. I nearly felt like spurring her with them. So are they cruel or are they good for teaching the horse?

It's a serious question- honest. My lionhead rabbit was a browny-grey colour when I got him in October. Now he is completely grey with black around the top of his head. Is it because he's getting older or is it a winter coat or what?

I got a new kitten who had fleas I bathed her as soon as I could to get rid of them with some all natural flea shampoo thats safe for kittens but I guess I didnt do it in time because she gave my flea free cat fleas, I have bathed them both with that shampoo(i have the battle scars to prove it) Used some of that pet friendly spray, I tried some of those drops that you get from walmart ( belive me I wont do that again it made my adult cat sick and I didnt try it on the kitten) and on a suggestion from a family member I rubbed them both down with garlic powder. I need to know the best way to kill the fleas with out using chemicals I dont want to poison my cats I learned my lesson with those drops (which didnt work anyways)

She has ALWAYS used her litter box but just recently she has started to pee on my bathroom carpets and some places around the house. She even pees on the carpet in my babys room. WHY? She still uses her litter box, just also uses other places. My husband and I just had a baby 9mos ago, could this be it? We also have another female cat who does none of this. Its only this one. She also has started to attack the other cat. Do you think she is feeling neglected? Please help...

I have a Boston Terrier and he is 12 years old and has been itching his ears and groaning off and on for probably the last two months. I took him to the vet and they didn't know why he is itching his ears because he doesn't have ANYTHING in his ears. They can't find any gunk of any kind in his ears and I have been putting cleaning drops in his ears from the vet and that seems to help a little but I want to make sure and get rid of the problem so that it doesn't cause any harm to him in the long run.

I live with 3 other people and 2 cats. Everybody is mean to one of the cats but me, and we sleep together and cuddle. I liked him, but now the cat started humping my blankets so I don't let it in my room anymore. Now it won't have anybody nice to it again.

What should I do? It isn't even my cat, it's another person's who lives there.

The last time I took them out together for a walk, I noticed my male peeing on my females back leg. Has anyone else's dog done that, and do you know why he did this?
