Hi, it's been 4 days since I got my 55 gallon tank filled with water.
I have been doing a fishless cycle by adding pure ammonia at 5 ppm. Its been 4 days and i see white web like stuff hanging from my decors..... What is this stuff and is this harmful? Should i get rid of it? Also, there pretty a lot on my decors.

We adopted my dog five years ago. A while after we adopted him, we noticed that his dew claws were never removed. At the moment it didn't pose a problem, so we never really paid attention to them besides clipping them if they got to long. Recently, he has been licking his back right set of dew claws excessivly. I've noticed that one of the claws has become very pink and swollen. His dew claws have always looked like they are loose, but nothing has gone wrong with them until now. I have no idea what's wrong, I keep meaning to get him to the vet, but my parents haven't the time or the money at the moment. It's been going on for about two weeks now. What can I do to help it and any ideas on what may be wrong?

Its new to my home and is a maltese. Its about 4 months old. Most of what it does is sleep. Is it sick or is this just how puppys are to new homes. It just naps on the ground on a blanket

My brother and I both have labs which were obtained from two different breeders. My lab is yellow, his is black. Both dogs are about two months of age. My lab has smooth straight fur, while his has wavy black fur. We both are starting to think he got dupe!

Our books really don’t address the coat texture besides mentioning the color and other miscellaneous details.

My kitten Smokey cut his ear. There is fur missing and there is dry blood. Should I put like neosporin or rubbing alcohol on it to disinfect it? I kinda don't want to do that because I'm afraid he will scream or whimper. But I know it's the right thing to do to get my baby cut all better....what should I do? I am gettin my Dobermans ears cropped next Friday. Why do we have to leave her there over night and how hard is it to get their ears to stand. I have heard anywhere from a month to a year. Only serious answers, none of this "Its inhumane and cruelty to animals" if it was cruelty, you wouldnt be able to get it done.

I have two cocker spaniels, one is a male and he's 1 year old and the other one is a female and she's 8 months old, she came in heat (started bleeding) on dec. 18, 2006 and on dec 28, 2006 I seen her and the male dog get locked up for like 10 minutes or so, this was her first time being in heat ever, how much longer should I expect her to be in heat and how many times do they have to get locked up for the female to get pregnant? I really need to know, she's only 8 months old, if she does get pregnant this young, she may not be a good mom. Someone let me know please!

I bought two baby Guinea pigs and let the Petco employer tell me all that was necessary. Now when I am home and reading about my two babies I see that they are strict vegetarians. But the food the employer gave me was pellets for Guinea pigs and a bag of Ferret food. She said to mix the two. Is that right? The Ferret food is full of non veggie items - I'm so confused...
