Naming a kitten is mostly about finding out who it thinks it is. Ghengis Khan? Fluffy?

You want to be sure to name the cat something that you will like for many years. Don't name it something like, bootes, or bootsy, or fluffy. If you name the kitten Catta, for a female, this is a very regal name and the kitten will be proud to have it. I like the name Mao, this means male cat in Egyptian, I believe. You want to fit the name to the cat's personalty, and give it a name that will make the cat proud. You can put in a search on google for "cat names". There are some good websites for these.

For a girl kitten name her Janelle or Carla.
For a boy kitten name him Cosmo or Sarge.

Wait till you've had it a few days, it will find its own name... once you stop swearing at it and you learn to enjoy its presence and influence on your life... I have always named my kittens and they have never ended up with the name I've given them. But then, T.S. Eliot told us this many years ago...
