Actually I think that 80F is too high for most fish. 75-78F is a better range for the majority if tropical fish.

around 80 degrees F is good! thats what i keep mine at and ive got tetras, dwarf gouramis, African Dwarf Frog, snail, and shrimp in a 29 gallon tank w/ heater and filter!

80 is tooooo high. i keep my tank at 70-73. when i bought my fish it said on the tanks what temp to keep the tank for what fish.

from 80 degrees to 85 degrees... or so... don't add any fishes within 24 hours... let the heater heat up the whole tank before adding fishes...

76 degrees F is a good temp.
