A friend of mine gave me an Oscar fish because she didn't have anywhere to keep it anymore, and this fish is bigger than my hand. I have no idea what to give it, I've never had a fish like this before.

i have a 10 month old rottweiller/old english mastiff cross puppy that is hyper, jumps on everyone. tried everything to train her, no puppy classes in my area. any ideas how to calm her down and get her to behave when people are about?

How will my vet test for heartworms? How much is that procedure! I have three dogs that have never been tested for heartworms! Buddy a 1 1/2 yr old German shep mix, Maggie a 2 yr old Doxie mix, Bandit a 10 mth old Papillon! What happens if they do have them? Can they be cured? how expensive is that? I'm just having financial issues at the moment and want to know how much i am gonna have to fork out for all of this!

I live in rent to geared income housing in toronto and i was wondering if anyone knows if they are aloud to say "no pets allowed" or limit you in how many pers you can have. Situation: I moved to rent to gfeared income housing and i signed a leas sayingonly one pet per unit. Due to the fact that it is befoe christmas and i got a badly abusd cat i am chosing to keep him. I know that they cant tell you that you cant have any pets casue the law was changed or that was never true somethign like that but i knwo that it is void by the http://www.ontariotenants.ca/law/act03.phtml#levitt74 . But im wondering if they can evict me for having two cats. Like if they inspected all of the units out of 84 at leas 20 of them have 2 pets or more. so like what do i do? My pets no one is allergic to on my floor as we all have cats or let them run i the halls. They arent noisy like dogs (one of the tenants has a relally small yappy loud dog whom barks at night and wakes people up. What do i do?

I am picking up a 7 week old German Shepherd puppy from the breeder next weekend. She has been weaning the pups off their mothers milk, but when i went up i noticed they were wearing the food...lol. The pups stunk like normal messy puppies do, is it safe to bath the pup at that age?....i also have a smaller older dog that will have to get used to him, and am thinking about bathing him after i bring him home so he doesn't smell up the house?.....?

3 nights ago she let the male mount and they were mating for over a hour...And the last 2 night I have put them together and she immediately starts fight. She has been extremely restless since then, and she is usually very chill and whatnot. Do you think she is pregnant?

today while I was at work , one of children accidently let cat out,, since then, we got several inches of snow and zero temperatures,, Live in a double wide mobile home, on back side of home where skirting is and water line runs under mobile home, is a hole big enough for cat to crawl inside under mobile home ,, I have gone outside calling him and a few times he;s poked his head outside hole and cries, but wont come out because he is deathly afraid of the snow,,, Last winter we found him as a tiny kitten almost froze to death ,, This must have tramuatized him of snow, is this possible? And when Iam inside , I can keep hearing him cry under home,,,, Can he freeze to death overnight outside? And any suggestions on how to get him to come out,? Laid his favorite blanket out there by hole,, placed food there to try to coax him out, so far nothing works HELP !!!

I got him recently because I had to get a good build up of stuff in a tank for other things. I was thinking a goldfish would suit my need perfectly and I always wanted a Ryukin. I went to Petsmart and was checking them all out when i noticed this one guy was swimming around all funny. now I know they all swim like they're having seizures but he would go upside down and freak out and such. so after a closer look I found he had something weird going on with his tail. it's like it's folding over itself, just a small bend, like someone is holding a pencil under it. the lady at the pet store said he was just holding it funny and they all swam like that (they we're all clearly NOT freaking out the way he was) and tried to push his tail back, when it didn't go she repeated herself and trailed off. so of course I had to get him. I've had him for well over a week and he's perfectly happy and loves people. I was just wondering if this is common with Ryukins? I'll try to get a pic and link it

she just had puppies and whenever they get too far away from her she goes and picks them from the back of the nexk with her mouth and brings them back. i know it's ok for cats to be picked up by the back of the neck but doesn't it hurt dogs?

We have a corn snake that started off in a 10 gallon tank and he outgrew that and went to a 25 gallon tank in just a little over a year. He is now too long for this tank too; but he's skinny, not fat like some of the other corn snakes we have seen in pet stores. Do I really need to give him a bigger tank. I worry he will grow longer if I keep upping his tank size.
FYI he is hand tamed and gets "exercise" in the bath tub about once a week.

My History - over 13 years My Hubby & I have rescued 4 English Pointers from Hunters who wanted to kill them because they were 'gun-shy'. All 4 have lived over 11 years. Which is old for dogs. Our oldest we had to put down last year after 2 surgeries. We have one dog left & have been attempting to adopt from 'rescue' centers. They either don't return emails or phone calls or have these idiot rules. We attempted to adopt an 8 month old puppy that was kept in a barn silo for her life. With no phone call or other email, they rejected our applications because "I" smoke. Here the dog has been in a silo for 8 months. We are offering them love, life, a companion, food, warmth, shelter and happiness in a non-abusive home and with no other inquiries said 'no' because I smoke. I could've lied...but I didn't. Our other four dogs lived long happy dog lives. Now this morning, after 2 weeks of phone calls with another rescue center.....
