No.
It's the Mom Dog thing to do.
She knows just how to handle them.
Don't worry 'little Mama'....they'll be just fine.

Nothing to worry about. She is doing a good job keeping them close and warm.
You may also see her push the puppies into a pile, they kind of roll like barrels if she does that.
Lots of bathing, she'll clean up everything, yes, everything. For the first two weeks... after that most of them don't like cleaning the poo anymore and you'll get stuck doing it.
Just keep an eye on her with them for the first day or two to make sure she is going to be a good mom. Sometimes they can crush the puppies by laying on them if they don't realize what they are doing, but Golden's are pretty smart so I don't think you'll have that happen.
Congratulations!

Hi, this is very normal for a Dog to pick it's small ones with the neck. Jus like your mum took care of you by carrying you around when you cried, so do the dogs take care of their young ones
It's all normal. Nothing can harm them

Dogs, and many other animals too, naturally carry their young by the nape of the neck.
As the puppies grow older, however, it becomes a disciplinary type interaction, so if you grab your dog by the nape expect them to yipe or feel reprimanded. I wouldn't recommend it, but some people use it for training because it's a natural, instinctual command.

Of course it doesnt hurt them. Look at the puppy. Is it squealing in pain or is it totally limp like a kitten when it gets picked u by the neck?

No, that doesn't hurt them. Dogs are the same as cats in the way that they have that bit of extra skin on the back of their neck so that their moms can carry them around that way. It doesn't hurt them at all, it's completely normal.

it is perfectly normal only the mother and the mother alone knows how to handle her young.... it is ok for her to do that since when the puppies are young they have loose skin and do not feel pain( or at least feel very little pain) when picked up. i had a dog that had 8 puppies and she carried em around the house like that and nothing happened to them now all the dogs are fully grown and perfectly normal.... hope that helps :)

This does not hurt the pups, it actually is a way wolves and lions pick up their cubs, this actually releases endorphins and keeps the puppies calm and quiet, because before dogs were domesticated this was the way mom would pick them up and move them to safety if she felt she and her pups were in danger.

No, It does not hurt them. Its just like the cats you were talking about. That's the only way they have to move them and make sure they don't get to far and are safe. Shes being a good mom..

all cats and dogs pick up their young that way. they have no other way to move them from spot A to spot B. It is perfectly safe for them to do this. It doesnt hurt the puppies.
