I have a 9 week minature pinscher and last night was he was without his sisters for the first time. He was fine to lay in his crate with his but whines when I close the door and he is alone. Any suggestions? This is my first time raising a puppy (or dog for that matter).

I am very keen to get a dog, and particularly love border collies. The problem is we both work during the day four days a week. At home during school termtime. This means the dog woud be alone from 8.30 until 4pm four days a week. It would not have access to the garden. Ican't afford a dog walker, though a neighbour has offered to take our dog round the block with hers, though she does work part-time and isn't always around at lunch-time. Is it unfair to a dog to take it on under these cirumstances? If the dog was destructive or barked constantly I just couldn't cope.

We're looking for a doberman puppy, and have sent several breeders that are advertising emails, but out of like 5, only one has bothered to contact us back. And the one that did contact us says she doesn't have any pictures of the momma dog or previous pups she's had but has all sorts of pictures of her other dogs.

my grandson has the cat's litter box in his closet and it is not changed often and they use regular clay litter. When you come as well as when you come into the house you can smell it but it is usually quite strong in his bedroom. I'm concerned about health dangers long term from having to smell this offensive odor. His parents will not use the odor free clumping litter so he can change the box himself.

I have a 7 month old cat, and last night, out of the blue, he climbs on my bed, lays next to me, then stood up and urinated. He is neutered, so he wasn't spraying. I don't understand what is going on or what to do...

My parrot has recently started a high pitched scream when ever my husband or my self head for the door. I understand why he does it. Einstein doesn't want us to leave. And for the most part one of us is always home. We give him plenty of attention. He is very loved. How do I teach him not to scream? He is very smart. Will this pass? Or do I need to teach him his screaming is a bad behavior.

Where do you keep the pet until the big day. I wanted to get a dog for my son, but my hubby doesn't want to and I am ok with that. Points were brought to make him not wanting one valid.

Then I said "well kind of glad you don't want one now, because where the heck would be the dog be until Christmas anyhow". How would it be a surprise?

Can't believe it but my new cockatiel has flees and the petstore sold me it!!!
They should be more carefull and make sure the animals they sell are healthy and free of this kind of problem.l have checked out some websites and they all seem to say you must take the bird to a vet to be treated,l don't really want to upset my bird by taking out of his home unless completly nescesary, anyone know of anything you can use in the home?

I think it was from the food I fed him...it was a mixture, one of my concoctions. ^^; Cream of potato soup, and ramen noodles. This stuff was about a day old, even if it had been in the fridge for the majority of that time. Now...what my cat was doing was explained to me by a friend. My cat is fixed, and it was only done a few months ago. That is why he is marking his territory and still going after the female cats I have. This is my problem-my cat was puking a bit last night, and it was the ramen. He was moving slow yesterday..like in slow-motion, and he just lays there...I'm really worried about him.. >< Can anyone help me? I'll be happy to give more information if need be, but please... I don't want my cat to die because of something I did or my lack of ability to help him.
