he hasn't eat anyhthing for 3 days now and his nose turned into brown. how ill is it? he just sits in the corner doing nothing. He will be living until tomorrow to take him to the vet???

I have a 14 yr. old Lhasa mix and a 5 yr. old Boston.Both have had vaccinations, but I have hears that vaccinations last longer than a year.They had their last vaccination May 2005~about a yr. and a half ago. I don't want to over vaccinate~especially the older dog who already has heart&kidney disease.Now the problem, a neighbor got a new puppy,4 weeks old, lets it poop everywhere my dogs walk, I can't literally walk our dogs anywhere! Told the apt. manager & owner~hopefully something will be done. My question~are the vaccinations enough to keep my dogs healthy?I'm freaking out here because a vet will say vaccinate and I don't feel its right~especially for the older dog. The puppy seems healthy~has real soft poops, but just came from its mother and is just starting solid food. Should I worry? THANKS!

I'm looking to buy a gift for a friend of mine and I was thinking of getting a simple pet picture frame - maybe silver or pewter with minor decorations (maybe a bone or dog paw print) but all I've been able to find are frames that are too "cutesy". Just to add - he's a man in his early 30's and the frame will go in his office - he has pictures of his dog everywhere, but I think a nice frame would be a great gift. Any suggestions on where to shop?

Can Groupers such as the miniatus and Panther get Ich bad and fast like tangs do? And one more question, I have this porcupine puffer who has ich and I tried every thing to get rid of it, hypo salinity, copper and freshwater dips and NOTHING helps. But he shows no signs that it bothers him. He swims fine and eats well, I have been giving him garlic too. SHould I just leave him be?

I wanted to know the best breed of horse for jumping with, what should I look at when buying a foal or colt? Do you know a good site that will get me the basics and everything else in this sport? Do kittens in the mothers uterus start moving rapidly before labor begins? Yesterday my cats kittens were moving rapidly in her stomach and today she lost her mucus plug at 11 in the morining. When should she go into labor. It is now 2 hours and 40 min after she lost the "plug".

My cat fell out of the loft the end of 9/06 after having a stroke, his hind legs are paralyzed and now he has sores and raw skin that is infected. The vet took all the maggots off and I have been washing him 2x daily but he's not getting better, and he smells. Hubby and I are coming to terms with having to put him to sleep but I can't seem to feel good about that decision in my heart. How do I know that his fate lays in my hands. I am so sad and need support from someone anyone. He's not eating, just drinking H2O. He wants to get out of the laundry bin I've had him in so he doesn't get dirt or bugs in his wounds. If I'm gonna put him to sleep tomorrow what does it matter if he enjoys his last day outside in his own environment? Why isn't he healing or eating? I will miss him so much! I don't want to let him go! I'm not ready and I know he still has a lot of life in him, just not his legs. Aren't there any holistic vets that know what to do, to get him better? Please Help!

My bichon frise is about 12 years old and is almost blind due to cataracts.
The local vet hospital said it would cost $6,000 to fix the problem!
Is there a way to get the surgery done without incurring that kind of expense?
