Definitley canned pumpkin...when you ask your vet, they will agree...I have used it for constipated cats, and dogs with diarrhea. It works for loose bowel movements and for constipation. Just give a large tablespoon twice daily until resolved...and if it takes more than 48 hours for a normal bowel movement, you need to go to the vet.

pumpkin, canned, regular, not the filling type, depending on the dog's size, 1 or 2 teaspoons. But, if the problem persists, take him to the vet, he might have some sort of blockage.

depends on the size of your pet, but regular stool softners are safe to give, a little bit of mineral oil will work, like a teaspoon for a bigger dog and a 1/2 or less for a small dog & can food will work great to loosen his stool...call a vet, they will tell you how much stool softner or mineral oil to give for your pets size.

Pick up the phone and call your vet is the SAFEST thing to do. I do not give my pets anything unless I consult with my vet first.

actually a trick that I use when Im at my boyfriend's apartment to insure that he wont poop inside is that I take a match stick, stick the flint side in my mouth to moisten it and tehn stick it in his anus flint side first...leave it in there for serveral minutes and its a guarenteed poop everytime, he jsut poops the match stick out...I learned it from this blind lady that had a seeing eye dog and she would make him poop. Its gross but it seriously works.
