I just found this forum a couple of days ago, and until today, I really enjoyed reading and answering everyone's questions. That was until I came across an answer that was just rude and hateful that I know was directed at me, even though it wasn't my question to begin with. This guy just bashed everyone who wants to breed their dogs in order to have more pets to love and take care of.I see absoloutely nothing wrong with allowing my dog to have pups, for the sole intent of me and the male dog's owners wanting more dogs of the same breed. It makes much more sense to breed my own AKC registered female with another AKC registered male of the exact same breed and give their pups a home with us than to spend 100's of dollars on pups that I don't know anything about or how well they were taken care of.ALL of my dog's pups already had homes BEFORE we decided to breed her. And, as for the comment that I think my dog is the most special in the world? YES I DO!My pets are my BABIES!So leave us alone

I have tried keeping her enclosed with them, and she just keeps walking away when they try to latch, and she pushes them off of her with her paw. She runs in and checks on them if they whine, but she has no interest in nursing them at all!!

I have started giving them softened puppy food, but they don't eat very much of it.

Should I get milk replacement, or just start feeding them puppy chow all the time?

Without using cruel methods such as "rapping" (hitting the legs with a pole).

Maybe she doesn't even need to lift them higher she just needs to tuck them in neater.

Any SERIOUS suggestions would be a great help as she's currently racking up cricket scores in competitions when she didn't for her previous owners

During the day she has normal bowel movements after she eats and is doing very well with going outside to do her business. She is 12 weeks old. However, during the night she has diarrhea in her crate and I am not sure why.
We were mixing the food the breeder gave us (generic walmart variety) with a premium dog food we buy at the vets. I do no want to change her back to the cheaper food but might I have to?
We feed her twice a day and once around 10 am and again around 7 pm, and she has normal BM throughout the day. She is active and does not appear to be sick in any way.
Her crate is the smallest one there is (she weighs 6 lbs right now)
This has happened the last 3 nights, we let her out right before bed and I get up after 4 hours to let her out again but by the time my husband gets up 4 hours later again there's diarrhea.
Before taking her to the vet I was wondering if anyone else knew what was going on her our pup?

MY dad says when his cat was dumped on the other side of the sea (In between Asia and Europe in Turkey, Istanbul) it came swimming back to him.

Now my cat is lost (It ran away thanks to some people who thought it would be ok to totrture him without my knowledge) Dya all rekon he'll come back home? Is there anything I can do to ensure this not including putting up lost cat posters?

Thanks

My boyfriend and I recently bought a condo and we have a cat who is about 1 1/2. We'd talked about getting a dog but we also talked about waiting until next summer when we're a bit more settled. We had his little sister with us on Sunday and ended up buying a puppy. She is a 9 week old American Bulldog. I've always wanted one but my concern is that we're just not ready for the comittment of having a dog. I'm looking for some advice. I like the dog a lot, she is super cute but I'm home with her all day. I'm a teacher so I'm off for the summer and I'd like to enjoy my last few weeks of vacation. My boyfriend gets home from work and he's tired and doesn't realize that after spending the entire day looking after the dog, my frustration level is very high. Also, my poor cat (who I adore) has been forced to run and hide when the puppy is around. Have you ever dealt with a situation like this and what advice to do have on dealing wtih it??
Serious answers only PLEASE!!!

Where can I find a growth rate chart for a Golden Retriever? I'm looking for something like the growth rate for children, though I'm sure nothing quite that researched exists. I want to know what to expect when he's ___ weeks/months/years, and to monitor his weight to make sure he's not growing too fast. I've scoured Google and can't find anything. Thanks!

I'm thinking of getting a hamster as a pet as I've been reading up on them a lot and I'm definately sticking with only the Syrian/Golden type of hamster. I definately like them enough but I just wanted to make sure if they tend to make good or bad pets. I can't get a dog or cat and this is pretty much my only other option. I would really appreciate to hear about everyone's experience with owning a hamster.
