If you change their food all at once, they get diarrhea from it. If you are going to switch them to adult food you need to mix half and half for about a week. The reason is if you don't it can tear up the insides cause it is too much adjustment at once. The reason you should have them on puppy food is because they need more nutrition.

nothing really...puppy food just has more fat and vitamins and a higher caloric content since the puppy needs it for growing...but I've fed my puppies adult dog food and nothing has happened....except sometimes when you change dog foods it can cause an upset tummy and a little bit of diarrhea...but that can happen in adult dogs when you change their food too...so no biggie...and NO it doesn't make them grow faster...

It won't hurt them on occasion but they should eat puppy food for the vitamins to grow. Bones and muscles need more when they are growing.

It does not get the nutrients it needs.
Puppy chow for a full year 'til he's full grown.
Also kittens need kitten chow not cat chow.
