I am deaf and I spoke with the landlord of the apartment that I am interested in. I am able to get a waiver for the pet deposit because of my deafness as long as I get a doctor's note. What does she mean? Do I have to go to the doctor to give proof that I am deaf or go to the vet to get a note that it would be necessary for me to have a dog to help me answer the doorbell, etc.

Seriously, what's your opinion? Yours only! If your life depended on it, and you could ONLY PICK ONE, which one would you say is better?

My cat- his name "Stinkynutz". He's really smart.

Okay- for example, if I shut the bedroom door to my parents room, he jumps up, and uses his paws to try to grapple the door knob and turn it, to open the doh! He he he.

He HATES closed doors- has Kitty Cat Style Claustrophobia or some sh**.

Anywho, isn't Stinkynutz adorable and smart? : )

My puppy has a 105-degree fever and the vet thinks she has either pneumonia or distemper. I just don't want to put her down unless it's absolutely necessary and she has no chance of survival.

She knows exactly who the dog belongs to because she has caught this digging, little, sly, cocker spaniel out of the yard before. This "dog catcher" knows my dog and lives less then 2 houses down from me. She takes her to the vet where she works (for examination)instead of calling to let me know she got out. The vet runs up an increadible testing and exam bill, them will not let me have my dog back until I pay her bill. The dog has county tags. Shouldn't this be illeagal? The last time she got her it cost about $170 to get her back. It happens about 1-2 times a year. Its not like I am letting my dog run the town. I work and she digs out once in awhile.

I live in NYC and recently my upstairs neighbor expired and rotted through my kitchen ceiling. Before I could get it sanitized, my tabby got into the mess and now is ignoring his kibble. The good news is he's put on weight, but now is territorial about the "area".

Any help is great, thanks!

p.s. his pelt has also improved.

I live in CT and i am looking for a horse that can jump. But i dont want a horse thats over 15.1 hands. It needs to be a good horse very willing and friendly. Im sort of beginner intermediate but can handle most horses. If you have one please give me all of its info and your email. O yeah and the horse doesnt have to be in ct but not to far from there. Thanks!

Tell me your cat stories - love them or hate them? Has a cat changed your life? Were you a cat in another life?

Here are the details:
I have two cats, a boy and a girl. Both are fixed. The boy is the problem pee monster. I've taken him to the doctor, and he doesn't have a urinary tract infection. I've tried putting as many as four seperate litter boxes around my apartment, which did not help.
I crazy clean every place that he pees, it still doesn't help. I'm fairly certain that he's not marking territory either.
The problem seems to be that he doesn't like peeing in the litterbox. He'll poop there, just not pee.
Right now, he's a fan of the kitchen tile. Last week, it was the bathtub, (which, while gross, is a hell of a lot easier to clean up!)
Before that, it was the closet floor, right next to the litterbox. It's obviously a surface preference thing... But I can't stand it! It's been like this since he was a baby, and I feel like I've tried everything, but I can't give up on him! Please help me, I can't stand having an apartment that smells like cat pee.

I have a 2 story house, the main floor was build in brick-veneer. The breething holes are about 18 to 24" above the ground. In a corner on the south side where hydro and cable boxes gives them support, Garter Snakes have entered through the breething holes. Around 9 am as the sun shines an this part of the brick wall, I can see garter snakes sticking their head out from between the bricks. Some will come out, but I'm not sure if its all of them. I'm ready to block the space between the brick with coppermesh, but I need to be sure first that all snakes have been out. Does anybody know a way on how to attract them to come out, or whom I may ask for help? (I'm from the greater Toronto area in Canada)
