I do I do! He is a big sweet heart too. He listens well and love people (and his kitties) to death. One of Pit Bulls traits are their aim to please... they have a drive to make you happy.
Pits are good dogs. They just have a bad rap.

Friend has a loving sweet pit bull. Known many friendly ones.
Mean dogs are created through mistreatment, not born that way.
The problem with pitbulls bad rap is the strength in their jaws. Someone harrasses a toy poodle till it's mean (we've all seen these) who cares as it's nipping on your shoes. But when you do that to a dog with the bite pressure and grip a pit has then you run into trouble.

Not personally, no. My next door neighbour had a pit bull who was just the sweetest dog ever. He was also really good with their 2 year old daughter. He barked a lot, but was very very gentle.
Keep in mind - ANY dog can turn, not just the "violent" breeds like pit bulls and rotties.

I had a good friend with a red, female pit bull named Scout - she was the sweetest, most good-natured dog ever. She would roll over onto her back whenever anyone walked up to her, she just wanted to be loved. Dogs have personalities just like us...some are born aggressive, some submissive. And some become aggressive through mistreatment or training.

I'm not sure well behaved is the word, my boyfriend hates when she sleeps on the bed so she waits for him to leave for work before she climbs in. But loving and gentle and non agressive YESSSSSS!!! She is the biggest baby, scared to death of thunder storms and rain. Lets my miniture dobermin take food from her. Lets my children climb all over her. I even have pictures of her sleeping with the cats (don't tell her).
The only thing she wants to eat alive is very loud motorcycles.
I agree it's not the dog but the dumb azzs who teach them that crap.

I had 3 pitbulls that were so sweet. They stayed in the house or the garage and were potty trained. They loved attention and to be petted. They were great with kids.
I thought they were so good until they got out of the garage one day while we were gone and killed the neighbors cocker spaniel. They are pack dogs and will kill, so don't let them fool you. Instinct is a powerful thing.
It was a costly lesson.
