I love orange cats... I currently have 3. However -- I think that all of them unfortunately have what I call "The Orange Cat Curse"
(I used to have one that was hit by a car, another broke his leg when he was 2 months old, another got some weird stomach thing when he was a kitten and I found him almost dead... the list goes on... I've saved all but one though! :)
Let me explain...
So I have this cat named Barney... he used to live outside, (we have like 1&1/2 acres) ... one day I am at work and my sister calls me and says that Barney got hit by a car... (we later found out that my neighbor ran him over in our driveway and put him in the flowerbed) -- so I ask if he is alive/conscience etc... she says he is but he is bleeding badly from the mouth and his eye is big and black... so she takes him to the vet and I meet her there.
Poor Barney ended up w/ his whole cheek bone and jaw fractured into pieces... his one eye had to be removed, his hip and a few vertebre were fractured.... but the whole time he just kept purring and purring and purring. I couldn't let him die. So, when he finally went through all of his surgery... he had pins put in his cheek and jaw, and lots of stiches on his eye (well -- where it used to be). We had to feed him all sorts of pain killers and mush up this high-calorie food and feed him out of an eyedropper like 10 times a day... but all the while, he was such a good sport... he was always so glad to be alive.
By that time, the vet bill was up to about $900ish ... and Barney was up and walking, and since all of this happened I wouldn't let him outside anymore -- he was having a little bit of a problem adjusting to living inside. He would always stay down the basement and hide. One day, as I was feeding him (still w/ a dropper) I noticed that there was a wire inside of his mouth -- and his tongue was cut down the center like a snake. The dumb vet left a wire (that was originally placed to hold his jaw together) inside of his mouth... and just twisted it under his tounge... it had come loose, and had permanently cut his tongue! I was sooo mad! I ended up having to take him to another vet (the original wouldn't see him w/out charging me-- even though it was their fault!) And he ended up having to have ANOTHER surgery to remove the wire from his jaw. Bringing the vet bill to about $1500...
However... even though Barney walks w/ a slight limp, is missing an eyeball and a few teeth, and has a tail that is permanently limp -- he loves being alive. And everyday when I call him over to sit on my lap or when he paws at me when I walk away... I'm glad that I spent all that money... because I helped him beat "The Orange Cat Curse" :)

We've had cats all my life, so I could easily spam up this question with stories if I let myself. :P
We had a calico cat named Patches, and she was the goofiest cat you'll ever see. This was probably a result of sitting on the flue in winter to keep warm and getting high on gas fumes. :P I mean, this cat purred ALL the time.
Anyway, we used to keep her in the basement so our male cat wouldn't knock her up. (One time the basement flooded a bit and her food dish went floating all over, but that's another story. :P) Well, in our bathroom at the end of the tub there was a cubbyhole where someone had made a diagonal wall in front of the corner, and we used to joke about what if someone hid a body back there and there was a ghost and all. Connecting with this cubbyhole was a little cabinet. Well one day I was in the bathroom and heard a thumping noise coming from inside the cabinet, and at first we were like well gee maybe there's a ghost after all. So we open the cabinet and...there's the cat. Apparently she'd found a way to get up in the cabinet from the basement.
This eventually got her in trouble though. One day my mom went down to feed her and discovered her laying on the floor with her back half paralyzed. We figured she'd been climbing on the pipes again and fell wrong. So she brought her up and put her on an old blanket on my bed since even if there'd been anything a vet could do, we wouldn't have been able to afford it. And she just laid there on my bed, crapping herself and purring, until she died.

I had a really loving calico cat named Princess she was very sweet and loving- rubbed up against anyone and everyone's legs- Purred like a motorcycle! One year we went on vacation and when we came back she was gone. She loved us all to much to run away- we knew something had happened to her. The next day our next-door neighbor called and told us that the mean old lady down the street had called the pound (when it was actually HER evil cat that left the scratches on Princess!) and she had seen the truck come and take Princess, her brother, and their 4 kittens.
Our neighbor is a little old and she may have gotten the story wrong, but I never came to forgive that lady down the street. If there were one pet I could have back it would be Princess. :-(

Love the cats! I have had many cats during my lifetime. From the time I was little until now. They had funny names like punkie and stinkie. One of my cats used to eat cheerios. And one of them used to sleep in my moms mixing bowls. Cats are so soft and lovable. They comfort you. I have heard that people that own cats live longer than those who don't. I believe it. Cats rule!

i had a cat named Baxter when my daughter was3 she is now (9yrs old) our cat was like a dog,if she went outside he followed her,and if i didn't let him out with her,he would run back and forth on the couch till i finally let him out.. when she took a bath he would sit on the side if the tub and put his paws in and play.. i loved him..and one day she was taking a nap on the couch and mt brother came in and sat next to her and Baxter actually ran up and bit him!! he was protective with her!! i have never known a cat to do that,we got him from a shelter and he picked her as a owner, the shelter said he was not good with young kids(they were wrong),,one day we were outside and Baxter went down at the end of our drive way to lay under a bush, and the next thing i know a owl came down and grabbed him!!! my daughter was so devastated!! needless to say i never owned another cat after that..he was not your typical cat(he thought he was a dog)..i still think of him often!!!

I had a seven toed cat and it would never come out from under the bed so I bashed it's brains out on my bedroom wall. Then I threw it out the window. After lying in my back yard for three days it got stiff so I buried it. Three days later I tried to dig it up but it wasn't their.

hate them,house cats.
reason:when i was like 10 or so i was a cat and dog person, more dog though.we had a chihuahua and a orange kitten.weeks later the cat killed the chiahuahua, after that she started getting into things like food and stuff and sratched my sister so my parents decided to dump it somewhere far away and for some reason it came back, next thing you know my dad killed it,it has like haunted me for the rest of my life.

My missus was geting 2 kittens (1male and 1 female) one was 8 weeks and the other 9 weeks from the RSPCA and was visiting them one day and she picked up the female kitten and she was trying to get out her arms so as she tried to lower her down she jumped out of her arms, and bumped her head a bit (nothing serious) The funniest bit was the male kitten went up to her and had hispaw and was stroking her head - she said it was so cute (I wish I was there)
